There's your problem

That's a case by case basis though right? Certain emulators work better for certain N64 games.

Of course the N64 was impossible to properly emulate,

You can emulate the N64 just fine. It just needed a decent pc to do it.

You might be thinking of the Saturn. That's the one that's near impossible to emulate more than a few frames a second.

There were like 3 games that worked for N64 emulation. Nothing I cared about either.

Might have been the case when you attempted years ago but it's great now.

The only real short coming for me was the lack of any real challenge

I always thought a lot of the challenges to unlock the secret characters were tough. I remember spending quite a while unlocking Zero Beat and the Immortals. Still never unlocked everyone. Maybe I just suck.

Personally, I didn't have too much trouble with that. Every time I've beaten the game, I made sure that I collected all the graffiti souls and unlock all the characters in the process lol

But I was talking more no actual threats. In the original game, they had it where the cops would show up when you keep tagging up the level. The more you did it, the more aggressive they got, like, bringing in tanks and attack helicopters and shit. It was pretty tough sometimes, especially while you were trying to complete objectives against the timer.
In Future, they reduced the cop battles to these small scripted segments that pop up a handful of times and they're incredibly easy. Even the battles with rival gangs are super easy. The only real thing you have to worry about is falling off a cliff/into water too many times trying to perform a trick (especially in the skyscraper district) and even then it takes a while for that to kill you depending on the character.

I think that the reduced cops and easier tagging was purposefully done since Future focuses less on arcade style gameplay and more on platforming. When I first played the game, I hated that they simplified the tagging so much. It took a while for me to realize that the tagging mechanics of the first game wouldn't work in Future.

Possibly, but it's probably more like Nintendo has been really gung-ho about going after these sites to protect their IPs. That's why the discussion is more focused on them.

This. Nintendo already went after two other sites and emuparadise decided to be proactive.

Yes

This. She's been on this site under multiple accounts on multiple boards for years. She catfishes some young guy to get attention and keeps it going until someone figures her out. This mipond situation was just the most well known because she did her little game on CE and Sanctuary instead of some less populated board.

She's just some lonely old woman that lives out her life through made up people.

It felt like a place you actually visited and explored.

This is what I miss the most. The exploration aspect. You'd click a link on one site to be taken to another site over and over until you were deep in the rabbit hole. Everything didn't feel right at the surface like it does now that search engines have indexed nearly everything.

It used to be fun to hunt for weird sites on the internet back in the day. I'd dig to find sites about creepy cryptid sighting or someone's poorly built page dedicated to rubbing balloons on themselves.

I'm still trying to get a taste for bourbon. All the ones I've tried have had one thing about them I don't like. Though I've only tried the cheap go to brands. I did like Old Forester well enough.

For scotch, I suggest McClellands Islay scotch. If you've ever wanted to be like Ron Swanson but didn't want to drop $100 on a bottle of Lagavulin then this is the $25 alternative. There's a Highland variety as well but personally I'm not a fan.

I spend about 70% of my time in the office and 30% working from home. Flexible office hours so I come in anywhere from 8am-9:30 and leave randomly in the afternoon. As long as I'm being productive and available to assist my coworkers then my boss is happy.

Next job I'm looking to go full remote.

Depends on the company and what their refurbished policy is. Apple refurbished macbooks for example are the way to go. They replace the HDD and casing, hand test it, and give you a two year warranty. Got my wife a 6 month old refurbished macbook air back in 2014 and it still works like a dream to this day. On top of that, I paid $800 when it retailed for $999.
