I'm not about this 7-4 life. I want to be able to travel for 1-2 months at a time, enjoy other hobbies, etc. I want to work my own hours consisting of 32 - 40 hours Monday - Thursday. I don't even care about making tons of money, it just sucks working 5 days a week in an office setting.

I have a 2 year degree in Construction Management, but only 1 year experience. Where would you go from here? I thought about coding, but I'm not a software type of guy.

You won't really find meaningful part-time work in building software.

You could definitely do all of that in construction, though. Particularly if you learn plumbing or electrical work or flooring or trimming and work for yourself. Or work in a union and take a few months off each year.

I'm in the management side, not the trades side and I definitely don't have experience in trades. It's something I thought about, but I'm sure the management side has a ton of opportunities.

I'm a marketing consultant. Work from home. Its okay but I'll still go into the office 3 days a week because sometimes its just easier to get in a mindset of getting shit done when you're in the office around others

How old are you?

I'm nearing 28.

Yeah, I'd go to the office, but just the fact that you can work anywhere is appealing. What about working from the beach or an isolated park?

I thought about consulting also

I spend about 70% of my time in the office and 30% working from home. Flexible office hours so I come in anywhere from 8am-9:30 and leave randomly in the afternoon. As long as I'm being productive and available to assist my coworkers then my boss is happy.

Next job I'm looking to go full remote.

Honestly I like to get in work mode and its best if I'm in my home office or in the actual office. Though currently I'm on the opposite side of the country in an Air BnB watching my baby while my wife has a work summit. Def has its perks

But I'm also not getting as much work done as I should hah.

How long have you been in your industry? At 28 I'd say you are too young to consult. Not because you aren't knowledgeable enough...its just that age adds authority. not fair at all, but maybe get around 7-10 years of experience in your field and then figure out where you have expert knowledge in one particular aspect. Then reach out to people in the industry and network until you can find someone who will pay you to consult.

Not too knowledgeable about your industry, but I do know most businesses like to try and lean out. You can learn LEAN / 5S and six sigma and consult that way but its a longer path.

I'm an entrepreneur and philanthropist of sorts. I currently manage... three businesses that are my own, in addition to multiple gigs and jobs I'd call either my microbusinesses or part time jobs.

You a drug dealer that DJs on the side?

Yeah, I just want something that's gonna give more freedom. Work 32-40 hours 4 days out of the week. Don't care about making a ton of money. Starting a small business and hiring a manager to oversee everything sounds good.

Also thinking about a smoke shop, as MJ is slowly being legalized all over the country.
