Yeah the memes weren't even really about her, you could have easily replaced her with anyone else, the whole point was attributing stuff so outrageous and offensive to the celebrity you would least expect to say it, which they did with her. They were purposely fake and overtop, which is why it was funny.

Mount Eerie - Now Only
Anna von Hausswolff - Dead Magic

And I would say the major skips are reserved in speed running territory. Though I will admit knowing where the minor skips are does come in handy, I can't say really anyone I've played with actively uses glitch-based skips in normal gameplay. But like in the video you sent, yes minor skips like that, if you have a team that is good enough, can definitely use that.

They are human controlled, but you can press a button to go idle, which makes them AI controlled, they don't have to leave. Nick just did the timing off a little, so he just went and killed himself, the other people got the timing perfect and successfully teleported. You just don't see that because you only see 2 people on screen, the person activating the trigger and the one who missed the timing.

TopicHave you ever met a famous person?
madadude
05/31/18 5:09:58 AM
#43
Yeah, but never anyone really famous randomly. Times I've met famous people have been at concerts/music festivals where the artist is chilling/dancing/walking around/drinking while someone else is performing and I run into them and say hello and chat. Like this happened with both Flying Lotus and Charli XCX a few weeks ago. Other times they have been places well I knew they would be as well.

I suppose my second cousin counts too, he is very famous, but I've only met him twice, one of which being at a family funeral.

Also two guys I went to school with from K-12 both just got signed to NFL teams this year (Mark Andrews with the Ravens and Kyle Allen with the Panthers) so that might count too?

1. Guardians of the Galaxy
2. Iron Man
3. Avengers: Infinity War
4. Thor: Ragnarok
5. Black Panther
6. Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2
7. Captain America: The First Avenger
8. Dr. Strange
9. Captain America: The Winter Solider
10. The Avengrers
11. Captain America: Civil War
12. Iron Man 3
13. The Incredible Hulk
14. Avengers: Age of Ultron
15. Iron Man 2
16. Thor

Though I really dislike everything after the top 5. Mostly simplistic, boring superhero films. I'm not saying the 5 I enjoy aren't the same either, but they I at least enjoyed.

Haven't seen Ant-Man though, that one looks fun and I would probably enjoy it.

Congrats! What'd you major in anyway? I don't think I've ever asked.

Double majored in Business Data Analytics and Economics with a minor in Film and Media Studies.

Not sure what I will do yet, I've started applying to some local firms and city governments to either work in their analytic departments or geographic information system departments. I'd like to work in GIS, even though I didn't major in geographic information science or geography or urban planning or anything like that, but I think it corresponds nicely with data analytics. I'd prefer not to just be working a generic office job, but I'd be fine with that if thats what it comes down to.

After I get a few years experience I imagine I will probably move away from Phoenix to elsewhere and get a better job in a different location. Perhaps Los Angeles or Austin.

They are just so boring to me. Every single one follows the same basic template. Nothing is surprising or interesting, performances are as dull as possible and nothing more than people saying a script. There are never any actual stakes. Especially with how the MCU is now, literally turning film into television, where each movie is its own episode that just continues into the next one, which will just be the same film but with different characters.

Though if all you want from your movies is to watch dudes beat each other up while following the same basic plotline, go for it, I just don't understand.

For example, the top 10 from:

Sight and Sound Critic's Poll:
1. Vertigo
2. Citizen Kane
3. Tokyo Story
4. The Rules of the Game
5. Sunrise
6. 2001: A Space Odyssey
7. The Searchers
8. Man With a Movie Camera
9. The Passion of Joan of Arc
10. 8 1/2

and the top 10 from the Sight and Sound Director's Poll
1. Tokyo Story
2. 2001: A Space Odyssey
3. Citizen Kane
4. 8 1/2
5. Taxi Driver
6. Apocalypse Now
7. The Godfather
8. Vertigo
9. Mirror
10. Bicycle Thieves

so Vertigo, Tokyo Story, Citizen Kane, 2001, and 8 1/2 each are considered top 10 films based on the hundreds of critics and directors polled.

Meanwhile the top 10 over at TSPDT, which looked at a much bigger sample, including Sight and Sound lists but also thousands of others:
1. Citizen Kane
2. Vertigo
3. 2001: A Space Odyssey
4. The Rules of the Game
5. Tokyo Story
6. The Godfather
7. 8 1/2
8. Sunrise
9. The Searchers
10. The Seven Samurai

and to anyone complaining the list primarily features old films, they also have an aggregate top 1,000 films of the 21st century, where the top 10 is:
1. IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE (Wong Kar-wai)
2. MULHOLLAND DR. (David Lynch)
3. YI YI (Edward Yang)
4. THERE WILL BE BLOOD (Paul Thomas Anderson)
5. ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND (Michel Gondry)
6. CACH (Michael Haneke)
7. THE TREE OF LIFE (Terrence Malick)
8. SPIRITED AWAY (Hayao Miyazaki)
9. TROPICAL MALADY (Apichatpong Weerasethakul)
10. BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN (Ang Lee)

The problem I have with this stuff is that you can't weigh new things against ones only held aloft by nostalgia. They're incompatible.

Eh, to be fair, for the most part its not nostalgia but rather the lasting influence and cultural impact.

I vastly prefer either the aggregate top 1000 list over at They Shoot Pictures Don't They, which tallies 9,800+ lists of the best films of all time from critics, directors, and historians.

http://theyshootpictures.com/gf1000.htm

Or the Sight and Sound list's where they poll critics and directors separately every 10 years

I mean it's only American films, and yeah definitely important to consider who the list is coming from, the AFI, so its basically just a safe pick of the 100 most important American films of all time according to them.

I've seen 90/100

The ones I havent seen are The Grapes of Wrath, King Kong, Shane, Intolerance, Cabaret, The Wild Bunch, A Night at the Opera, Swing Time, Sophie's Choice, Yankee Doodle Dandy.

My typing style was clearly influenced by me playing FPS games as a child. This is something I didn't realize until only last year, but I use all my fingers on my left hand (which is used for WASD, space, shift, ctrl, and basically everything else in FPS) while on my right hand I only use my index finger to type (much like clicking a mouse with your index finger) with the exception of using my ring finger to hit backspace, enter and shift.
