Yeah that scene was gut wrenching

Gonna need to see it again and take a little time to digest it but for me it is easily top 3 in the MCU possibly even the best so far

Also am I the only person that hated the most recent Spiderman movie? It did nothing to make me emotionally attached to the character..but everyone else seemed to love it. He just failed at everything and learned almost nothing for 2 hours and then the movie ended. Even the problems he successfully fixed in the movie were generally his fault to begin with..

He was good in Infinity War, largely because he wasn't in a position to make a series of stupid decisions himself, so it came down to his combat effectiveness. At least he still has that.

It seems like a forgone conclusion since we know another Spider-Man and Guardians film are both on the way, but I wouldnt count any chickens just yet.

Several individuals have donned the spidersuit over the years, and theyve made a point to drive home that Miles Morales is in the MCU, and GotG has a largely rotating cast in the comics. The next sequel in that series could see Rocket and Nebula working together with a new team to try and find a way to get their friends back.

It just hit me that the reason Peter felt it coming was because his Spidey sense was screaming out in mortal danger. Gods the more I think about that scene the more my heart breaks </3

Also, while looking up theatre reactions I have to say the OST in this is flipping amazing. definitely my faves in Marvel.

The recent spidey movie is literally my favorite lol
There's just something about seeing Spiderman as a high schooler done properly that made it so appealing

Homecoming is still second to Spider-Man 2 over all, but they nailed his character in ways which the Raimi and Webb films failed.

On-topic: hard for me to give it anything lower than a 10, bit I'm still riding the excitement wave. Plan to rewatch some of my other favorites soon (Avengers movies, Iron Man 1, Winter Soldier and Civil War).

9+, the only thing keeping it from being a 10 isn't even related to the movie specifically; it's just knowing everyone who fizzled will come back in A4 kinda soiled the atmosphere of half the universe fizzling away in a music-less, tense moment where you never know who's gonna die

Already saw it twice, will probably get the bluray so I can watch it again and catch some lines that were missed as a result of laughter and/or theater cheerers

Also there were too many cuts in the hand-to-hand fight scenes, but that annoys me in any movie, it's hardly unique to IW. I mean Cap and Widow vs. the black order in Scotland, it was like

*character 1 leans back and throws punch*
cut
*character 2 takes punch or dodges*
*character 2 leans back and throws own punch*
cut
*character 1 takes punch or dodges*
cut

like come on, let's get some fight choreographers in here and have a shot go for more than half a second.
