I'm currently playing 2 and having a great time. However, I understand why so many dislike it. Seeing the new artstyle during XC2's reveal was a bit strange in contrast to XC1. Additionally my SO had to walk me through the mechanics since I was so confused. It's better now that I understand what's going on.

If the original is ported to the Switch, I'll definitely buy it. My Wii's in bad shape, and I'm not buying a New 3DS.

Are you playing Solo/Duos/Squads or 50v50?

If the latter, people are currently going nuts with the new vehicle along with a new meta of C4 Explosives. Both are causing a ton of lag.

The ATK is a great addition. Playing 50v50 as a taxi driver is ridiculously fun for some reason, especially when you get into fights with enemy ATK squads.

You can also board enemy ATKs, but someone ran into a spike trap when I tried it.

I went into Fortnite thinking it was a dumb, yet fun, meme game. Dancing around with noskins in 50v50 was fun.

About 60 hours of playing later, I caved in and bought the Battle Pass. It turns Fortnite BR into a real game. Ever since then, I've been hooked. I've also gotten a little better.

I understand why many dislike the game. Bullshit can happen easily, especially with that guy who picks up a shotgun first.

That being said, if Fortnite costed money, I'd never try it.

Between 1, 2, CD, 3, and Mania, I personally enjoyed Sonic Mania the most.

With Mania Plus, it'll basically be Sonic 3 with 5 characters. That's all I can say. If you enjoyed Sonic 3, or even 1, 2, and CD, you will definitely enjoy Mania. With the game's length and soon-to-be 2 new characters, 20 dollars is a steal.

EDIT: Also, this time around, the special stages don't suck. You'll actually get better at them, and there's plenty of giant ring opportunities if you like to explore.

There's a lot of luck involved in winning. Mainly rng of where the circle falls on the map. If you're chilling in a building or a high mountain and you're inside the circle, awesome. Get lucky a few more times, and you'll easily have top 10. Weapon drops are also something to consider since whoever picks up the shotgun first beats everyone else around them. The game sorta works like a multiplayer roguelike with a high luck factor. On my first win, I got 0 eliminations. The storm eliminated everyone.

However, even with the luck, there's skill involved. Whoever buys the Battle Pass will get some good practice in with its challenges. It's why skins are typically better than noskins. There's also a real incentive to play.

I just bought the Battle Pass yesterday, and now I'm a few tiers away from making every single dollar back. It's not too late for anyone playing. It bumped up Fortnite from a 6/10 to an 8/10 for me.

That being said, I don't blame anyone for disliking it, especially if they're playing for free.
