I also started a playthrough like, last week monday I think it was. I have been a huge fan of the tales of series since they were first getting localized, and berseria is definitely in my top 4 for the bit I played of it so far. (xillia 2, vesperia and abyss is my other three. Loved xillia 2's grimderp DARKNESS story, lol).

I'm not sure if you got to the first inn or not, but make sure you sleep in it. (if you open the map, it has a green chat symbol there. These usually notify you on side-quest type stuff). You get a shirtless outfit for rokurou. I think this is like, the only permanent missable in the game from what I read.

Same here. Then again, I rarely pay attention to social media things at times. Must be a younger generation thing, because me and my fam got fat off some grilled hot dogs, burgers, beef ribs, corn on the cob, and potato salad yesterday. We all had that itis by the time 10:00 pm came around, lol.

Toys R Us is where I first played sonic R (had that super sonic racing song drilled in my head because of it, lol), bought chrono trigger on the SNES for 50 bucks, and got smacked in the face playing the virtual boy (when you try to pull your head back, the demo unit sometimes used to snap back and hit you with the whiplash, lmao). *Pours one out for them*.

I could be wrong, but I could have swore I remember reading something like this about how the playstation took it....a lot of 3rd party devs were upset with nintendo because of their high prices when it comes to the carts. Devs in that era was at that point where they were all about using cds for their games, because they are vastly cheaper compared to nintendo's cards and the space for them was pretty generous.

Nintendo was sort of in their arrogant mode because of their success over sega towards the end of the 16 bit era, and they decided to go with carts yet again for the 64 despite a lot of third party devs, especially squaresoft, was wanting nintendo to go with cds.

After that snes-cd deal fell through and nintendo let sony keep the designs for the cd system (lul), sony comes along and sets up shop, and offers extremely cheap prices for third parties to put games on their system. The deal was too good to pass up. (Sega also burned a lot of bridges with their bone-headed move to surprise release the saturn out of nowhere. It also did not help that sega during this time had a dude at sega declining games from japan because he wanted a certain image or whatever for sega.)

Long story short, sony had massive third party support over nintendo (they also had pretty decent 1st and 2nd party games that sold well also. Intelligent cube, crash bandicoot, syphon filter, tomba, medieval, that one super hero game that escapes my memory right now, gran turismo, gameday, etc.), and with the playstation being cheaper in general, that won them that generation pretty damn easily.

The nintendo 64 was cool for what it was, and was stronger in the graphics department, but if console gaming history had to teach us anything, its that just having a stronger console will not win the generation when it comes to sales. If that was the case, then both the gamecube and the original xbox (especially the original xbox....man games on the xbox looked so, so much better than their ps2 counterparts, lol) would have spanked the PS2, but again, we all saw how that turned out.

There is still a few 3rd party NES games that aged extremely well. The main two that stuck out for me for years is from culture brain, the magic of scheherazade and little ninja brothers. MoS was doing the hybrid rpg thing before it was cool.....had both good top-down zelda style gameplay and final fantasy style battles. Playing roulette in the casino was also mad fun. Then there was getting kicked out and banned from stores from trying to barter too much.....definitely still a game I can play today and have mad fun.

Little ninja brothers was similar to the above, but had a more goofier story. That bad boy was also had co-op, which made it fun.

My favorite chain is marco's pizza. They make some really on-point pizza. Local places is definitely better than the rest. (Althrough I do admit, I like getting a stuffed crust from pizza hut whenever there is a sale going on......which feels like once every year or so).

I don't really remember any commerciuals. They did take a jab at'em via donkey kong country 2 before though, by calling sonic trash, lol.

Mario odyssey has the best bowser castle level ever. Also, the music for that woods kingdom got some great music for a mario game.

If they removed both those elements it would vastly improve the game.

If they remove those at this point, the sales for the series is going to absolutely plummet, in both japan and the west. Its just one of those things that ever since they added it, the series got way more popular and sold more as a result. Just like with fire emblem and its cute girls/wifey focus from fire emblem awakening on up, its going to be a series mainstay at this point.

No doubt, or at the very least should be. I didn't have the chance to watch the clip earlier since I was going out for dinner, so I just got back in and watched the whole thing.....yeah, dude definitely got stereotyped pretty hard because of his race and age/that lady has some serious issues.

Personally, I never went through this kind of thing this badly since when my parents found out I got sickle cell, they moved down south where not only the weather is warmer (cold weather makes sickle cell act up a whole lot worse in general), but in the 80s there were a lot more doctors knowledgeable about what I have down here in south carolina. One of my best friends, who also has sickle cell, lived in jersey his entire life, and up there he used to go through this kind of thing badly. Apparently, young black guys coming into the ER for this kind of thing are usually thought to be drug addicts looking for a quick fix, which is a problem in the new jersey area to the point where all young black dudes sometimes gets doubted or silently judged.

I don't know how its like in california, but if its like this clip here, then I feel for the dudes with anxiety attacks down that way, because this clip is pretty messed up.

Yep. Got one back when first got the gears 4 xbox one slim. (My old TV just so happened to implode on itself at this time). Its only 40 inches though since the TV was for my room. (its the samsung ku6300. Friggin' love this TV since the input lag is really nice).

On one hand, I would not mind a bigger 4K TV, but on the other hand, the one I have now is already good enough for me. Maybe if it also happens to implode I'll get a fancier TV.

Underwhelming when playing it as a console. Pretty nice when playing it in handheld mode, imo. (I almost always exclusively use it has a handheld).

Yep, sounds about right.....just turned 35 myself recently, and honestly, I was happy enough that the family took me out to eat sushi, because other than that, its just like, 9 or 10 happy birthday messages on facebook, lol.

Miss those college days honestly. Definitely do not chill like that with the peeps I knew back then know anymore, but fortunately I at least regularly talk to one close friend on a daily basis, even if its just via text, the pc, or playstation network, and I live with my older bro (who, also, is in the exact same situation with friends and whatnot), so we at least chill with some couch co-op or whatever else.

I backed at the 150 dollar tier, so it would definitely suck if this game turns out to be a dud.

At the same time, I got mad faith in my boy IGA, unlike inafune who I was always kind of "eh" on (man I am so glad I didn't back that one, lol). Dude has yet to let me down...even his "worst" stuff like harmony of dissonance and lament of innocence I ended up enjoying. I do admit I never played judgement before, but that game looked like ass-cheeks wii shovelware right from the get.

Yeah, my oldest brother. Dude was in jail from when I was like, 3 or 4 years old (long enough to where I don't have any childhood memories of him when I was that young) until I was in my early 20s (basically from 1986/1987 to 2003ish). His sentence wasn't that long from the get...he got some years added for fighting (he defended himself from dudes trying to get with him...he is not about that life. Beat their asses so bad that he got in the most trouble for said fights).

My youngest sister also got locked up for a bit, for stealing. My 4 oldest siblings from my dad's first marriage had a really, really rough child-hood. (Their mother was on drugs real bad, thus the reason my dad got a divorce from their mother).

I never asked the specifics, but supposedly what got him arrested in the first place was selling weed.

To be honest, most retail stores should close down, theyre pointless these days, Especially going forward. Why waste time and gas going to a store to overpay for something, then having to wait on line and deal with rude employees and customers. When instead you can just click a few buttons on your phone and have the exact same item shipped straight to your door step within 2hrs to 2 days for a cheaper price compared to stores.

It definitely depends on where you live. For me, amazon has always been pretty mediocre living in south carolina. I ordered a pair a hyperx cloud alphas and some brainwavz velour earpads on march the 5th, at about 1:45ish p.m........why the hell has this shit yet to ship out? Seriously, I am still waiting on this crap to even ship, says I am supposed to get it thursday on the 15th.....yeah. Getting prime isn't much better, at least going off of the times when I use to free 30 day trials for it. They used to do guaranteed next day delivery, but eventually changed that to two day delivery, and the few times I used the trial, I was still getting things at least a day or two late. Random video game example, but the poor bastards who decided to pre-order the tales of berseria collector's edition off amazon didn't even get their stuff till' about two weeks later....couldn't even supply them on time.

Bah. If I can find these hyperx cloud alphas in person, I would have done it in a heart-beat. (Unfortunately for me, the three gamestops and the best buy in my town were sold out, and target or wal-mart did not have this particular model in their stores).

Born in 83, so yeah, I remember it. The 90s was a fun time. I still remember going to the movie theatre opening night to see street fighter 2 just like it was yesterday......the look on me, my older brother, his best friend, and my best friend's faces had to have been the most hilarious sight on the planet.

My family didn't get our first computer until like, 2001 I believe. Some hewlett packard pos with like, 3 gigs of hdd memory. Good times.
