Settlements happen because they're cheaper and less exhausting than a real case, right?

Giving legitimacy to the case opens it up to evidence being brought in, having to sit through trial after trial, listening to testimonies, all while MJ's estate is drying up because of legal fees (he can't make money while sitting in court)

You'll see that subsequent suits were mostly thrown out or won in MJ's favor
You could argue it's because he has good lawyers via money, but even the best lawyers cannot beat hard evidence.

It happens more than you would think. Some people just don't care to get married, for whatever reason. I know people who have been together over 10 years, have kids together, but still aren't married. Why they don't, at the very least for the tax benefits, I don't know. *shrug*

I was born in February 81.
My grandma Mary (my moms mom) met & started dating Bill (who i consider my grandfather on my moms side of the family) in March of 81. They never got married the whole time they were together and it wasnt for a lack of wanting to on Bills part, my grandma Mary kept telling him no. She use to say there was no point in them getting married because they were to old and nobody else wanted them anyway.

About 4 yrs ago, Bill asked 1 more & my grandma mary finally said yes.
He passed away the day before they were suppose to get married.

Its wild TRU is closing.
The TRU we have here in Lakeland Florida just reopened like 3 months ago.
It had been closed for a few years before it reopened around December & now its being shutdown again.

It must really suck to those of you bashing TRU.
Every Friday night when i was younger it was out to dinner & then going to TRU for a new action figure of some kind. I also hardly call $4 for a new TMNT, GIJOE or WWF action figure expensive considering nowadays any one of cost $8 now to get.
