Even if its not done purposely to intimidate, its threatening to the other person. They are in harms way if you cannot control yourself and your anger to the effect that you have to immediately damage something. One time we did have to clean that and wrap it up for a family that did want to bury it and I can say its more traumatizing than anything, plus is hazardous to the environment seeings how hospitals usually have to preserve specimen in formalin for 2 weeks before they can release it to you. Even washing tissue with alcohol, trace amounts of formalin will remain. We did see fully formed fetuses but that was maybe once a month compared to the 20-50 POCs wed get a day. So overall this would traumatizing for the parents (in order to shame them), frustrating and gross for lab workers having to deal with the specimen, and bad for the environment.
