On the one hand, i sympathise with IT guys who have to deal with the "one MORE thing!" situation. Having friends that have worked in IT, i can see it for the thankless job it is, and make a big point of defending them when people whine about them.

On the other, it's often hard enough to get them on-site to deal with issue #1 (not necessarily the fault of the IT guy) that by the time they've arrived there are seven other issues that also need to be dealt with, possibly just as urgent and some of which may complicate any attempt to fix the other problems.

I'm enjoying the show as much as the books so far, which is as big a compliment as i can give. However, it seems like they cut some scenes shorter than they should have, and there's something a bit off about the show at times that i can't quite place.

I wasn't sold on show Amos at first, but the actor's portrayal of him has really grown on me.

There are times when you do it because you need to. You're still allowed to hate it, you just have to bite the bullet and hope you can work your way to a time or place where you can afford to look for better.

You also have to be careful to make the distinction between hating your job and hating an element of your job.

From that, i don't see why there should be an exemption to the standing laws. If a product is a safety concern, the rule should apply across the board. Perhaps make it easier for those making private sales to stay within the regulations, but i wouldn't support an outright exemption.

Not just for prevention of gun crime, but also to cover the ass of the poor bastards who find out they supplied the weapon used in a crime.

But i would say that, i'm strongly in favour of gun control, and i live in a country that doesn't have the gun problems the US has.
