The story.....not much to it actually, I was surprised how little to the story there was. And Vergil got sandbagged super hard! I didn't know he was in the game like that, and Dante kind of just forgets about him after beating him the final time.

DMC1 has almost no plot to speak of, yeah. For how big of a character Vergil becomes it's kind of amazing how he barely exists in 1 at all.

But the game itself is nifty. Having double jump with Alastor helped me out a TON. I didn't really end up using Ifrit because I was having too much fun with Alastor. And I dunno how common it is to do, but I ended up using the shotgun like 95% of the time. I really enjoyed the shotgun.

Double jump is god tier in every game. I think the shotgun is especially effective in DMC1 but I don't think it's very good in the other games. Ebony & Ivory are really really good in 3 & 4.

I should also say that I'm impressed how the game makes it fun to do basically normal boring stuff instead of adventure stuff 90% of the time and fit in all these scenes where you're just friends hanging out.

If you're enjoying those scenes, you would really like Persona 4. It does those 'slice of life' bits very, very well.

Harem-ing in Persona 3/4/5 only has any real consequences in Persona 4 Golden, where they stick a knife in your heart (not literally).

Turians and Salarians are the least-likely races to have awful people. Like, I love Tali and Wrex but their races are dumpster fires at times.

Half of the sidequests were dumb but I felt like the other half enriched the world a lot. The Wise Machines cut like a knife.

I think the art is overall is very good except for Noire's attack art which is just way too jarring.

I've definitely become less excited about the game since completing my four man 5*+10 squad, so I need a new long-term goal to work towards. Think I'll just save up a ton of orbs for now and see what happens.

The Blessed Garden maps' difficulty are entirely dependent on the units you decided to dole out Blessings to previously. Earth maps like the recent one are by far the easiest for me because I had given my four strongest units Earth so that they could be paired up with Legendary Ike during earth arena season. Wind maps are where things start to get dicy for me.

News articles are the only reason I ever check this topic. There's a LOT of news to keep track of these days, and having a place that gathers news of the topics I care about - and that is generally filtered by people who don't subscribe to bullshit sources - is very useful.
