She got "bloat" and because it was Canada day long weekend no vets were even open. I rushed her to the emergency vet clinic but she died on the way. We took her and buried her at the spot we go to every May long weekend so we can at least visit her every year and because she loved that place. That's so heartbreaking. I'm sorry for your loss. That's very sweet of you to lay her to rest in a beloved area. I am a bad pet owner trying to do what I can to keep my cat healthy until Monday. If he's still not eating I'll get him for an ultrasound without the weekend emergency admission fees. --- Never write off the Doctor! |

Sometimes before I fall asleep I look over at my dog looking all peacefully asleep and think "If something happened to you Im afraid to know how Id handle it". Some people will never understand how strong a connection between a animal and human can be. I think part of it's having something around you know isn't judging you. I have had this cat since he was a feral barn kitten. We're very bonded. It just crushes me seeing him feel unwell. This morning I cuddled him on the floor and he was purring in my arms leaning his head into me and staring at my face and I had to keep from crying on him He's normally a super loud in your face cat and the house is so quiet without his yelling --- Never write off the Doctor! |

| Doctor Foxx 07/08/18 12:46:26 PM #5 | Cat had bad vomiting on Thursday all day then a little on Friday morning. Puking stopped but he also stopped eating. Then he was getting lethargic 2 vet exams and x-rays and blood work show nothing. He had to get saline for his dehydration and he's on some meds to see if his digestion will go again He still won't eat so I've had to syringe fed him wet down emergency food every few hours. His poor gut is still really gassy. He's getting more energy and not puking but no one likes this syringe feeding If this keeps up he needs a third visit and ultrasound and then possibly surgery --- Never write off the Doctor! |

Water still takes time to boil and things take time to cool. Anything that has a long cook time does take much less time. Like you can make some great chili in under an hour start to finish from raw ingredients and it tastes as good as slow cooked all day. My protein is in the lentils and rice and... everything. The crazy thing is everything whole has protein. I like to add these lentils to stuffed peppers, mix them in rice, add them to sauces, or just have the lentils straight up with some sauteed mushrooms and vegetables mixed in. These lentils are really good with mushrooms and wild rice I used the lentils last weekend to make vegan Bolognese and sloppy joes It's super easy to remember. 2 parts liquid 1 part lentils 10 minutes manual and pressure release after another 10 minutes Sorry for all the edits.
