It was rather annoying (and IMO the biggest flaw with the movie) that their side story had zero bearing on the plot. Crash ends up looking better in the Switch version thanks to the downgrade. Crash was designed to look good with the original low polygon limitations: he's a character with a literal hard edge. With the fuzzy fur effects removed from the Switch version, Crash's edges are a bit sharper. I still think it's aesthetically a big step down from his PS1 model, but it's a major improvement from the PS4 version. Couldn't disagree more.
