I played like 10 games and went 6-4

Losses: cubelock (x2), odd rogue, dr hunter.
Wins: even warlock, even shaman (x2), odd hunter, dr hunter, odd paladin.

Against one of the cubelocks he weaponed on five and summoned a demon on 6, 7, 8, and 9. I drew ooze on 9. Against the other he rin Pacted on 7. The turn before he Azaris I draw acolyte of pain and play and ping it and find azalina a card too late.

soul thief is for priest and warlock (with rin) matchups. Its really a meta call because the format is so slow right now. In priest matchups where they dont like god hand burn kill you, soul thief probably wins you the game. Soul thief is also really among the only ways you can really compete with a control warlock matchup. A lot of times I dont even play it so it is s dead card against more aggressive and even midrange decks l. The problem was that with lich king I often found myself in places where I cant play it or just have better plays. Even in the 30 cards across all mana there are not many if cut before it.

This is the deck I run right now. I just hit rank 3. It loses like to like anything that can outvalue it so I don't think the deck overall is a good meta pick against a lot of the top decks. Like Shudderwock, Mindblast Priest, etc can just kill you and you really can't do a lot. I do have like a 100% win rate against Even Warlock though, so there's that. It's also good against spell hunter (at least in my matches) but I'm not sure if that's just due to the spell hunters being bad.

I stopped playing earthbound for like two years before I finally picked it back up when I got to that item giving part at those caves or whatever. I was like holy shit how do people tolerate this in a game?

I also stopped ffviii for a while when I had to find an unmarked spot on the map and flew around for hours without finding it.

What spellstone was a big selling point on the card early.

Truth is that branching paths is seeing more play now due to rotation and the meta being slow as fuck. Before it was only used in like jade/gain a ton of armor Druid because that deck was completely busted. (I guess Malygos too but more so for draw). But now its in like all Druid decks because there is very little risk to playing an extremely high potential reward card in it it. Its basically a better bloodlust right now imo in a class that can get better boards than shaman.

Played some more games. Tried some quest rogue but i dont really like playing the deck. Jammed in some control mage and managed to get back to like rank 4 and a couple of stars, mostly due to my opponents being not that good.

Started an arena too with warrior because I had a quest for warrior. I have a pretty good deck I think. But like all 3 of my opponents had the Lich King in their decks (I have onyxia). I went 2-1 so far with my loss being to a warlock where I drew absolutely horridly.

Popularity of a game near launch is only the first part. Overwatch was the same way but overall perception of the game had been falling out of favor for various reasons. I played 4 games

2 as cubelock
1 as Control Mage
1 as Quest Rogue

Went 2-2

One cubelock game was against even Paladin where I bottom 5ed Guldan and got a very unlucky top deck of voidlord when I had a lackey out (it was my last demon). The paladin also got Tirion off of stonehill.

The other cubelock was against a priest where I simply had 2 giants in a row and the priest just could not deal with it.

My mage match was a taunt druid which came down to a 50/50 on the resummon (which I lost) and therefore also lost the game.

Quest Rogue was against a miracle rogue which at one point I was down to 1 HP but just came back when I knew he was trying to top deck damage. I actually missed lethal so if I lost I 100% deserved it, but luckily I won.

The game 100% needs some rng to survive. When I go to talk to or someone tells me about a game I dont go like yeah my marginal skill advantage and tech choices over my opponent let me sneak out a win. No Im like yeah so like I summon toki and she gives me dr fucking boom which lets me have a strong turn 7 play. Then he attacks the boom bots and they both explode on his minions for 4 killing them.

Hearthstone is a game built on incredible highs and incredible lows and its why the social aspect of the game is so strong.

Its like in sports where it takes something monumental to dethrone an all time great. Like there is debate on Jordan versus lebron James and its taking everything James has to even be in that conversation but 10 years down the road (if James loses this series) well see like 3-10 or something and think probably number 2 overall.

But sometimes like in the case of baseball, everyone is chasing the greatness of someone no one has seen play in their life time, but Babe Ruth position on the baseball totem pole is unshakable.

I played three games and went 2-1. Won again elemental mage and taunt Druid. Lost versus mind blast priest.

The mage was bad, the Druid came down to a 50/50 (which I won) the priest Alexed me on 9 and killed me from hand on 10. I had absolutely no counter play to it. Its dumb stuff like that the reason why Ive said I dont think cards like call to arms should have been hit

Like something has changed since those games where I find that even among the great games to have come out recently no one really holds them with the same level of regard in term of legacy as the two mentioned in the op. I think Skyrim is the closest thing we have today and a lot of that is due to the longevity of the community keeping stuff around.

Its like botw is seen by many to be a great game (Im in the minority who thinks its just okay) but I dont think like 10 years from now 12 year olds will look back and be like this was the greatest game ever. Even if they claim that now.

I think most of it had to do with that they released as the first 3d titles of their series and are also all time greats despite of that too. So I dont think well see something else like that until games as good come out along with another technological breakthrough

Ssds make huge differences in boot times for applications but does little to help when already in an application. That said ssds are cheap now and if you launch some programs a lot you can put a few in one with your os.

Ive been considering not playing at all for a while. Ive dislike each meta heavily since the raza nerf. Like right now I think the type of decks that are represented and the ones that could rise to counter them are extremely unfun to play against and in many cases also play.

Mac, youre like in the 0.0001% of people who would say a running gag like the fork, which is even self referenced within the show is whats primarily wrong with mahiro. Is it abusive? Thats really stretching it. Violent physical humor has been part of animation of decades and has become a trope of the tsundere for a long time now. Would it fly in real life? No, but this is not real life or even portrayed as real life.

Like in beauty and the beast Gaston is 100% abusing to LeFou physically in the animation and its played off for as comedy. Most people know its abuse because Gaston is a bad guy and in a position of power over LeFou, but everyone also realizes its comedy in those instances. In the live action version they specially reference these parts as things that they had to work around to adapt in real life because physical slapstick in live action does not work now and has not really been used in a while.

When we get to mahiro he is clearly not in a position of power. Its a running gag that he just kind of gets taken along for the ride. His entire character type is basically tsundere (although in later episodes hes a bit too mean because they need to do something to have dramatic plot points in the end). They even put in stuff in the show (or make jokes about it) on why mahiro uses the fork and why, despite obviously being pretty worthless in almost every situation, can manage to stab every super powerful being with it without fail.

There are actual character reasons to not like mahiro, but a lot of that is because hes the only character that can be successfully changed to move relationship points so they need to have his mood really establish the state of things.

Also a lot of people are like none of the refs thought lebron was in the restricted area and citing stuff like lebron was 4 feet from it. Idk I think it was a lot closer than 4 feet and the claim that none of the refs thought he was in it is even a bigger stretch

I think something that is getting lost is because of how good Lebron was and jr fucking up twice, and the refs, etc. The fact that without Stephen curry basically making up for how poorly overall KD played that the warriors would have lost by like 10 or more.

Like throughout the game KD forced the action because one on one hes one of the best players ever. But Stephen curry took advantage of all the mistakes the cavs made and was clearly the best player on his team.

It seems everyones argument on tv about the block/charge is less that its actually a charge or block but that they went to replay to change to what I believe is obviously the correct call.
