Even if said officer truly believed Arreola was committing theft. Is pulling a gun on that situation necessary? I wouldn't want officers or anyone innocent to get hurt because said officers feels he/she is walking on egg shells but at the same time, there's gotta be a better logical approach to different situations.

It's not exactly a one-size-fit-all approach for every situation. Or should I be concern that if this is the officer's approach to stealing breath mint, what would his approach be to something more violent?

That's unfortunate. In my opinion Scouting focuses on being a good citizen, overall good person, and being respectful of others even if their beliefs are different from your own. It's part of the Scout Law. Stuff like learning outdoor skills, survival, etc. are just icing on the cake. I find it hypocritical that some leaders will deny a Scout the rank of Eagle if his stances goes against their personal beliefs.

I'm very surprised by this, considering the last I heard, the Boy Scouts were very anti-gay

In 2013 the BSA voted to allow homosexual boys into the program and I think in 2015 they voted to allow homosexual adults into the program as adult leaders.

Boy scouts is a religious organization first and foremost. Anyone who says otherwise hasn't been in it.

These people may be "allowed" in but I doubt all of them will be accepted.

Depends on the individuals involve. One of our adult leaders was almost denied his Eagle rank when he was a Scout in Ohio as he was borderline atheist at the time. In our local council, we don't focus on religion as much and on the Eagle character boards rarely talk about it. I doubt anyone within our council will deny a Scout his Eagle rank if he declare himself an atheist.

I am guessing 1/3.

I want to say where the two lines intersect is roughly 2/3 from the bottom meaning the rectangle that the shaded area is in is 2/3 of what I assume is a square. From there I bisected the shaded area in half forming two rectangles where the shaded area is half of each rectangle meaning the shaded area is half of the 2/3 thus it being 1/3.

Of course I was only assuming where the two lines intersect is 2/3 from the bottom. I'd imagine using the notches that I assume indicate the quarter marks is a more accurate approach even if we assume those notches are quarter marks.

Share a highschool story. A descriptive one. You will the more you start thinking about the details you can't recall actually being in highschool.

*Warning, this story is disgusting.

I remembered one cross country practice where nature called about one mile out from school. I held it as long as I could and didn't try to end my the practice early to run to the restroom. About maybe half a mile to the end of the run I ended up just going. A few fellow runners saw me and asked if I was okay. Said I was fine and awkwardly jogged the last half mile to the end before going to the restroom. I left my undergarments in the porta potty, cleaned up as best I could, and just went commando for the rest of the day.

What made it more awkward and worse was that I had orchestra practice afterwards. I spent the next hour or so sitting there uncomfortable playing my violin. If anyone noticed any odd smell, they did't comment on it.

I am on an email list of Boy Scouts volunteers for range safety officers and BSA rock climbing instructors. For most activities outside of my troop it depends on what is involve and my schedule before I volunteer for it. Usually I give an immediate response that I am or am not available to help out but a few times I completely forget to respond and the event might be over already.

Having organized events before, I understand the frustration with people not giving you at least a simple "no" instead of not responding. I'd imagine some folks assume not responding is indirectly a "no" but from the organizer point-of-view a definite "no" is much preferred over no response.

Of course here I am the pot calling the kettle black. Maybe it is because when asked to volunteer, responding that I am not available feels a bit shameful depending on my reason(s). Still, putting off a response and completely forgetting isn't any better.

How good are you with responding to emails?

Between McDonalds and Starbucks though, it just depends on which is less busy. I do find Starbucks convenient when I need a coffee jug to-go for a meeting of some sort. Cost $15 and can serve about a dozen cups.

If I was a regular coffee drinker I would just brew at home since that $2 cup of coffee does add up.

Despite what some of you suggested, I could not bring myself to skip the first game of the series and actually am enjoying the game a great deal now. The combat system is not as bad as it seemed when I first tried it years ago and the only nuisance is gathering herbs.

Currently I am in Chapter II so haven't made that many major decisions yet. I've read I can import my save files into Witcher II and from there into Witcher III. How much will my decisions affect the later games?

Is it kinda like the Mass Effect series where earlier decisions are lightly touched on but does not affect gameplay at all? Does having some gear imported over make the beginning of the later games easier?

For some reason I thought you work in law. What research are you working on?

I am faking it.

Being fake keeps the dumb people from getting upset, so basically I'm Flo.

Pity. I understand it's part of providing a pleasant buying experience but from my experience as being a cashier at a gas station and the stories my mother and sister told me from when they were cashiers, I do wish said workers can be allowed to be honest at times without repercussion. Within reason of course.

Maybe it is a pride/ego thing but I do not like having to ask workers to locate a product. I feel like an idiot especially if they have to guide me to the aisle and section to find it. Even worse is if the product was there and I was just too blind to see it.
