It's been a long time since I've played Returns so I'm just going off Tropical Freeze, but they're not considerably easier. I kind of hate the tone tbh. DKC1 is actually really dark in its own right with lots of industrial levels and moody atmosphere. The tikis, pigs, and Donkey's over the top characterization are really sterile to me. The original music sucks, but some of the remakes are pretty amazing. --- |
