What do you think of the framerate? I thought it was complete garbage, and it almost made the game completely unplayable, but I'm using the standard PS4.

It honestly makes me worried how well Kingdom Hearts 3 will play. I did play the KH3 demo, and it seemed pretty smooth, but I'm pretty sure it was on PS4 Pro systems. I would be really disappointed if the final game played like 0.2 does, but I'm hoping that it's just that this was essentially a "demo" game and that's the reason it has framerate problems.

The movie felt like filler. You had this huge event with IW, and really any movie after that would feel lesser for it. The villain being basically some guy didn't help. Not saying it was a bad movie, it delivered the things you generally expect from a Marvel movie, but it was destined to be less interesting and important than IW.

If you make every movie as important as IW, the importance of IW loses meaning. Sometimes a story can be interesting without reaching the level of overwhelmingly important stakes in a large-scale franchise. If you're expecting everything to reach those levels, then you're asking for those levels to lose relevancy.

I mean, I feel that way too, and I was kind of looking forward to a smaller-scale movie as a "palette cleanser" after IW, but this one felt like really low stakes, even compared to the first Ant-Man.

Any character that's a princess can use that staff, so there's actually a surprising amount of users for it. It's just that the majority of them need to be reclassed to be able to use staves in the first place.

I the only gaiden chapters I ever bothered to get were the first and last ones. The first one is pretty easy to get, and has a good character. The last one is also easy to get, and you can just use the Aum Staff to revive Tiki, so the end result is you have two manaketes and two Falchions.

The early Persona games were released in America but they got buried. They were fairly popular in Japan though even back then.

P3 was the one that got a lot of attention over here. I don't think P4 was notably more popular, it just kept the hype flowing.

P5 is kind of another major step up though.

That's another reason the "killing characters for bonus chapters" isn't really that bad, you have TONS of people to throw away.

If you want to see every chapter for completionists sake then it's pretty bad.

The way I look at it is that it's meant to be a balancing act for people who suck too much. So if you lose too many characters can you unlock an extra chapter that gives you more powerful characters to make up for it. That's the best way to justify it. I always just ignore them, they weren't in the original game anyway

Basically. Any RPG that has a section that long that you can't save during is a a bad game. The final dungeon alone retroacticely kills any chance FF3 had of being even kinda good. Even if it was easy it would still be bad.

I mean it's not like you can save in the final dungeons of FF1 or FF2 either, and FF4 has a really long stretch after the last save point too. FF3 just gets flak because unlike those games, the final dungeon/boss is hard on top of that (and I can't really fault people for having that opinion, for all that I was just young enough when I played FF3 that the idea of redoing the final dungeon a few times didn't bother me).

In the remakes of 1 and 2 you can.

You CAN'T in FF3's remake. That's kind of a special kind of awfulness. They had the chance to improve it and they didn't.

I actually like SD. It's still just a fun game. It's just missing stuff like supports and mechanics. It's not better than the other games, but it's still a good one.

Also, the canon sacrifice is Frey; he wasn't in the original games.

Riku asking Mickey why he didn't mention Aqua until just before 3 is pretty hilarious. Plus the whole Goofy and Donald being very familiar with the keyblade long before KH1.

What's great is that apparently Aqua was RIGHT there during the ending of Kingdom Hearts the whole time and was just off-screen. Oh, and how a bunch of Heartless randomly destroy Mickey's shirt with magic for no reason.

Yeah, RPG dungeons aren't exactly something that I enjoy. There's bad dungeons and tolerable dungeons.

I wouldn't go that far. There are plenty of RPG dungeons that are great for a number of reasons; inspired design, fun gimmicks, great atmosphere, etc. It's just that final dungeons always seem to drop the ball. I think most RPG designers don't want to experiment with the last dungeon, so it ends up being generic and uninteresting most of the time. And because it's the end, it tends to more serious to try and be more dramatic but usually just ends up boring instead.

Like, I tried to think about it, but I can't think of any absolutely fantastic ones. At best just ones that weren't as bad as they could have been. Usually by the end of the game I just want to get things over with.

But it seems like it's so easy for even normal people to be super heroes in that verse anyway. You wouldn't have to stay a rando for long if you didn't want to. Just go find one of those secret societies that are all over the place, or volunteer for some weird government experiment (there's like a ton of those), or be moderately smart enough to build some super technology (it seems like everybody is capable of doing that even if they're not a super-genius), or be really good with a specific weapon that would be considered useless in any real fight no matter what universe you live in but because you're trained with it you somehow gain plot armor.

I would say Doctor Octopus is the most "iconic" to most people in general. I suppose to fans the Goblin has more of an impact, but I most people who only vaguely know about Spider-Man Doc Ock is the most noteworthy.
