A guy with a gym bod that's the whole package is obviously an easy sell.

But for average men, the parts that reel in the most female attention are:
-nice head (face, hair, eyes)
-nice looking ass
-strong arms.

A six pack is cool to show off, but it doesn't impress every woman. Some don't even care about a guy's abs at all and are fine with a boyfriend who's got a belly. You know why? Because he's got 1-3 of those things I mentioned above and they can compensate way more. It's why a guy who's only got 2 of those 3 things can still end up swimming in dates with women without a lot of status/$$$.

Women pay attention to physical sex appeal too.

And if you're really hellbent on knowing what the male equivalent of a women with nice big tits is: it's a man with a noticeably fit upper body. That's it; that's simply what it is. It's not actually the penis, although that can still be a deal breaker for some women. A woman with a gorgeous rack wearing thin clothing is visibly attractive from across a room. So is a man's buff upper bod when he wears the same. As far as aesthetic attractiveness, they perform the same effect.

Took a girl to the Renaissance Faire yesterday. The whole time she was just acting like she was miserable and hated it, all she really talked about the whole time was how lame and nerdy everyone there was.

Got dinner afterwards, all she talked about was how shitty her ex was.

Took her home, told her sorry she had a bad time cause I thought she'd be into it. Claims she was into it and had a great time but she just didn't take her meds that morning so she probably looked like she hated it. (huge red flag for me)

She invited me in to her place but I told her I had an early work day in the morning and took off cause the whole day just really put me off.

Oh well, at least I had fun at the Renaissance Faire I guess.

Any more red flags and you might as well make it a golf course.

I suppose it makes sense considering how much of a support I am within my social groups. It's just where I naturally drift socially and professionally. I don't really have a lot of impediments on myself so I tend to flex my abilities to help peers who have more burdens to put up with. It's made me a popular coworker and garnered friends who respect integrity. People put a lot of trust in me.

Despite the results I'm not very introvert in a social aspect, but I tend to roll up my sleeves and problem solve on my own just for the sake of avoiding complications. A lot of times I can resolve a peer's problem just by carefully handling it myself.

My social circles are sometimes like the old story of a lion who needed the help of a mouse to remove a thorn in his paw. The lion sensed a problem, but lacked the precision to take care of it on his own. The mouse was just naturally more equipped to see and deal with it.

The world's full of gifted energetic lions who want to be popular and loved, but fall short when it comes to fixing their personal issues. For that, many instinctively seek a mouse. Me.

Also I thought the dumpling short before it was stupid AF.

I guess it's an asian cultural thing, I remember my non-asian friends watching going "WTF" while my mom and my wife cried during the short. In western culture it's normal for people who are 18 to move out of the house, but for asian culture there is more of a push for them to stay at home until marriage so there is indeed a culture clash why some people thought the short was confusing or stupid. I personally liked it and it resonated with me and my relationship with my mom during teen and college years, but I can understand why most won't get it or how it would seem stupid to them.

I thought it was cute and figured the beginning was an allegory for parents missing their children who are no longer living with them. It still happens in the United States too.

you know those cheesy stories where a guy spots a girl across a room dancing or something and he just knows she is the one for him

Yeah, the reason why that doesn't usually play out well in real life is because most of what the guy is basing his attraction on in that moment is just what the woman looks/sounds like. Anybody who believes they've found "the one" in that small amount of interaction (or lack thereof) isn't thinking competently. It's fairy tale bullshit.

You might hear Grandpa claim it's exactly how he met Grandma.

No it's fucking not...

He sized her up on a number of dates before he decided her baggage wasn't too much for him to handle. Before then, he might have WANTED her to be the one...because he thought she was hot, but he didn't definitively know he could stand being around her long term yet. He had to test the waters first like most men with a brain would. Even thirsty guys to the smallest degree see how bearable hanging around a woman is before settling in with her. They might come up with a few dozen rationalizations for putting up with her shit, but the point is they still calculate that tolerance factor.

A standard part of courtship is curiosity and checking to make sure there's compatibility. For most men, it's basically a matter of seeing how much of a bonerkill a potential partner can be before getting attached. Even a photoshopped goddess drops in relationship potential when she's smothered in dysfunction plus entitlement. The hasn't changed being a common bullet for men to dodge in decades...

So when Grandpa spits out some tripe like he never bothered to test Grandma ever, he "just knew"...he's handing you a big sack of bullshit.

Fairly relevant to the topic.

I'm skeptical that media companies that spotlight social justice issues are really "dying like crazy", but it should not be surprising that some of them experience financial problems whenever it becomes noticeable that their content has too much of dogmatic bias to it.

Many people can have different reactions to news content that seems to merely cater to their political beliefs and other news content that's just straight up propaganda telling them "HEY it's your responsibility to be outraged about this; let us dictate why ". People usually prefer to come to their own reasons for being angry about something and it can spark their skepticism when a source pushes an agenda too far. People's opinions on certain issues can change in intensity over time as well, even self-proclaimed activists.

And their media consumption and spending is going to inevitably reflect that...

She's a woman, after-all. They get to lie.

I get that it's a tactic that's technically deception, but I understand that it's also a common defense mechanism for women to use for avoiding drama with someone they're not interested in dating. I understand WHY they might feel the need for such a tactic, which is why I often condone it as an exception. And it's not really exclusive to women. Men can demonstrate the same tactics when someone they don't find attractive flirts with them. Women dropping hints that they already have a boyfriend is just a common go-to that's sometimes effective for avoiding trouble or preventing unwanted changes.

TopicGuys that complain when girls instantly reply with"I have a boyfriend"
ClockworkHare

Just because she says she's got a boyfriend does not automatically mean it's the truth every time. Sometimes she's just saying that to shut down dating invitations from guys before they happen. And that's fine; it's her right. She's not innately being a "lying bitch" about it; she probably just wants to avoid drama.

Maybe she's not looking for a boyfriend. On the other hand, maybe she does want a new man...but either you don't currently measure up or she thinks you're better as a buddy. And as an easy method of avoiding the awkward dispense of rejections she just declares dating not a possibility from the get go. It's not uncommon for a woman to do this when she's hesitant to trade in a fantastic platonic friendship she already knows is great for a dating relationship that's a gamble.

In a world full of ambitious, horny, lovesick men looking for girlfriends, women have evolved into making many preemptive decisions as defense mechanisms. So you're not always going to immediately get the exact truth from them when they're awkwardly put on the spot by an interested man. A lot of women want to make sure a guy's a good deal before lowering their walls to him; and sometimes that means falsely presenting themselves as unavailable for the sake of observation and taking things slow.

However, it's important for a man to remember that it's entirely possible for a woman's mind to change over time. And if he makes the effort to become a solid option in her social circle over time, she might change her verdict on them dating. Just don't be a thirsty creep about it.

When you're interested in a woman, try to avoid calling her out on lying about a made-up boyfriend. You're real goal should be working on your chemistry with each other until she doesn't feel the need to guard herself with a lie in the first place...
