The term was basically meant to refer to the trolls and ones actually being dicks, though. If you weren't a troll or a dick, you weren't a Bernie Bro. I mean, hell, your quote right there even says it:

MTV correspondent Jamil Smith described these people as engaging in "trolling, misogyny, and 'hipster racism.'"[8] Washington Post reporter Janell Ross described some pro-Sanders online activists as "angry people who sometimes engage in or embrace bigotry," and believed they demonstrated an attitude she called "offensively dismissive, superior, let-us-tell-you-black-voters-what-you-need-and-how-you-should-vote commentary from some subset of Sanders supporters."[9]

Almost all of these are referring to the dudebro trolls, not all Bernie supporters.

I've never seen it used the way your quote suggests.

Hell, even Bernie himself spoke out against them.

He's saying that because somebody said "If you have something to hide, don't run for President."

Politicians almost always have something to hide. It comes with the job.

So he's probably lol'ing because at the base of the argument, saying "Don't run if you have something to hide" is basically telling politicians not to run.

Obviously there's much more nuance than that, but his comments actually make sense in that vacuum.

eh, i think that has more to do with the fact that most people thought gyllenhaal was worse than holmes. people didn't seem to care all that much that three different actresses played kitty pryde in the first three x-men movies.

To be completely fair to Corrik, our argument wasn't based on him arguing in bad faith. It basically happened because sometimes he simply isn't clear enough or gets his point across as much as he thinks he has.

I was never saying a full time cashier at Kmart didn't get offered medical. When I started badgering him for details, it was because all he had done was list "Cashier at Kmart" on a list of jobs with medical. From my own knowledge as a manager, I knew that for years Kmart had very specifically made it a rule to not hire full time cashiers, so I naturally thought "Well, that's not right, cashiers don't get medical."

We eventually hit the point where he explained that it had been awhile since he worked there, and when he did, they were still hiring full time cashiers. Thus, things had been cleared up and I dropped it. My initial point was that it's extremely hard to get a full time position at Kmart now and has been for awhile, so I initially doubted his claim until he clarified.

That said, we did kinda both accuse each other of lying before knowing all the facts

Not exactly. He said something like 8 clones would take the same time to make as 1 new character, but the "1 new character" was never considered. The clones were added specifically to pad out the roster at the end because he didn't think it was big enough. It wasn't a "We could have made 8 clones or 1 new character" scenario. It was a "We made clones because we could do it in the time it'd take to make 1 character, otherwise there would've been nothing" scenario.

The amount of bacteria in urine is still super low on it's own in a healthy person, and most of that isn't really bad for you like most of the bacteria in your body. It doesn't stay that way because it's not really an antiseptic, but in an emergency fresh urine is still a much better option for cleaning out a wound than water.

It's not, though, because urine also instantly picks up any bacteria from your skin as it passes. And there hasn't really been any studies to know the effects of the bacteria found in your bladder on other things to suggest it'd be good for cleaning out a wound. If you have clean water, it's absolutely better than urine.

Urine being good for cleaning a wound is an urban myth that faded as studies were actually done.

Frankly, the only situation you should ever resort to peeing on a wound is if you have no clean water available and the wound is already dirty and/or much too large for the natural flow of blood to clean it out. It's definitely a last resort.
