All I am doing is repeating my ideas over and over and over and over so that HOPEFULLY when you guys lose all focus the next few days, someone might actually point out "hey didn't fool mention that chain mislynching town power might not be the best way to win the game?" at least once. Maybe twice if I'm lucky.

All my town reads want me dead (or won't even consider a single NL even though it's literally free). That doesn't make them scum, just bloodthirsty. It's boring to play safely and optimally I guess. I probably can't change this in the next 40 minutes. As I have been saying over and over, this is totally fine since my role is by far the weakest of the investigators. But you guys will literally kill MI tomorrow when I die today. That is what I need to prevent. Is this so hard to understand?

What's interesting is that exactly 0 scum have given even the slightest support to my idea, even though I will flip town and it would give them some credibility. I guess it would bring too much attention to them. That's how much b8 hates NL I guess. I do remember AIM was like this too.

How does one act godfathery and how was arti doing this?

This is a very good question

It's all a read to me but it goes something like this: Godfather is the 1 role in mafia that never has to change their play the entire game (unless they're about to be lynched). Godfather never has to send a kill, or explain a suspicious night action/scan, or worry about dying before revealing their scans, or convince town to lynch one person or the other, or struggle with a claim, or defend a fellow townie, or worry if they're defending scum. From D1 to game over they can play a very static simple town vanilla game. Whoever gets lynched is fine. They can completely blend in with lurkers and vanillas.

But it is artificial. They are TRYING to blend in with the vanillas. They are TRYING to make light posts here and there. They are TRYING to get on scum trains not because they care about scum, but because it's townish to be on a scum train. They will never ever make a fake claim or do any kind of fake (or real) powertell as many of us have done in this game. That's the real strength of the Godfather. They are protected from the cop, sure, but that's just 1 aspect of their fundamental power: complete daytime safety.

All of this applies strongly to Arti, and also FD (with the added layer of IRL "omg guys I don't have time to post!" smokescreen and a lot of info aggregation posts, which is risky but works well with experienced players). It does not at all apply to Donk, or DYL/Scep/Crescent slots. They could definitely be GF but it just wouldn't be my read.

I would still lean towards FD as godfather because I think all mafia have to be a bit more aggressive in this game, so they don't have the usual luxury of a lowkey godfather. But I don't want to discount Arti as godfather.

I was suspicious of Arti already and felt him playing godfatherly, so a town scan on him didn't help me at all. If FD flips GF then obviously it's a good scan.

Donk is not playing like GF at all so I would've felt way better with a town scan on him. He could obviously be GF but I don't think so. I think he could be regular scum though.

This is also a downfall of town late-game, btw. You're punishing people for saying their thoughts spontaneously and being open. You're punishing people for changing their reads (or just adding to reads, not even changing them, see: my D1 Chris). If you attack people for anything less than a well-calculated scum-coached post, you end up mislying town day after day and then wonder how lowkey scum like Arti made it through the days.

I've been suspecting him for a while, but his kind of super passive light play always suspects me. He was on the scum lynches D1-3, towards the backend. But he didn't vote Han at all D4. There's no real claims or anything that point to him either. That's the danger of the quiet player.

Anyways, only one of him or FD can be godfather, and I would rather go for FD first.

If we mislynch someone else today (vanilla or something) then lynch me D6. This will leave us with 1 more ML (and 1 more NL which like... let's use it??). This should actually be the way to go because MI will definitely be left alive tonight and I will GLADLY get lynched in MI's place.
