Unless there's some OW2 rumors I'm missing. Plus it's Blizzard. Then make games as a platform then just support them. Look how long WoW's gone on. I wouldn't be surprised if we never got OW2 and just a next gen port with continued support. --- |

| Slip-N-Slide 05/19/18 9:39:06 AM #1 | I have trouble thinking of many. We're probably what, a few years away from next gen probably tops? There still seems to just be mostly last gen and previous franchises getting sequels, remakes, remasters, etc. Even games like God of War that could've been a new IP if they wanted, just branded itself as GoW as a sort of sequel sort of reboot. Even a company like Naughty Dog who's always produced a new franchise for each gen from Crash to Jak & Daxter to Uncharted. All we've gotten is 2 Uncharted games and an upcoming TLoU2 which will probably end up remastered for PS5 at this rate. Maybe you could argue TLoU was such on the tail end of last gen that it's this gen, but it's still last gen, and as nice as Uncharted was, it really could've been left at 3 with no real difference being made. Then multiplatform games like Assassin's Creed released 3 great games in 3 years, this gen we got Watch Dogs, which technically started last gen too, and Watch Dogs 2. Then a bunch of Tom Clancy titles and such. Valve has done nothing, Rockstar is just.milking GTA and doing RDR2. Even exclusives like Knack or Sea of Thieves came and went because they were generic, boring garbage. Not much use mentioning Nintendo because milking franchises is their bread and butter for decades. --- |

Being as generous as possible, maybe if it was someone of similar, or superior age/build to you, they were being a massive douche, then maybe throwing a punch wouldn't be worth demonizing, but jumping and old man with 6 dudes, possibly a weapon, to near death, over a verbal altercation where no physical threats were made that we know of is fucked up. And even that hypothetical I described is still a stupid, archaic way of dealing with problems "derp I'm such I dumbass that I got into an argument so I just started throwing hands because I don't know how to deal with people or have basic conflict resolution skills." Unless it comes out that he had a gun or something and was threatening them in some way, then it's inexcusable, and the 6 boys are 100% in the wrong. --- |

But in reality all that would do is trap everyone inside with an active shooter or someone could even coordinate something and have someone outside with a gun and some other psycho get in legitimately, pull a fire alarm or something, then get everyone coming out and open fire. Ntm if they did manage to get in or even wait outside on their own with no accomplice, it's a choke point that they could lock down and even if you went with the NRA or Republican idea of arming teachers or having armed guards, a "good guy with a gun" couldn't even try to go around and flank them because there's no other way out.......... Also completely ignoring how major of a fire hazard that is... Instead of a mass shooting the next news story would be all the kids who died in a school fire when the only way out got blocked off with fire... --- |

Well canon isn't very deep now. Disney wiped everything from canon when they bought it. Now it's just the movies, obviously, the Clone Wars movie and show, Rebels, and I believe the campaign from Battlefront 2 was canon. So all the books, comics, and other EU stuff aren't canon anymore even if he did ever contradict this in anything. I've never seen the cartoons or played Battlefront 2, but as far as the movies go I can't recall anything that contradicts with this or causes any inconsistencies. Shit if anything there's more implication that he was than that he's not. --- |
