I felt sort of bad, but I had to tell my parents the other day that cable is only for old people too scared of change to realize that they're getting scammed. I laid out a plan that would save them about $140 a month by switching to netflix and such, but I doubt they'll go for it. They've just had cable for too long. It's sad, really. --- |

"Real" Americans work with their hands on didn't go to some lily liberal ivy league school on the coast. It makes them think, "Yeah, I am special. I always knew it." Granted, they are voting for someone who probably went to law school, but they're anti-intellectual nonetheless. Nothing means anything in American politics anymore. It's all just a trick to get votes so they can keep cashing checks from their corporate masters. I will say that I think it's extremely dangerous to demonize education, of all things, and that it is quite possibly the downfall of our entire nation, but that's just par for the course for politicians. --- |
