That's what he's playing on, actually. Gold enemies are only available on Hard mode (you can also see by the small Triforce symbol on the bottom left of his other videos) and in that mode all enemies have regen health.

More games need to do it the way Halo did it, tbh. During the tutorial at the start of the game, as you're waking up they tell you that they need to calibrate your armor suit and to look at the lights on the left and right. Then they tell you to look at the light on the top. Regardless of how you move the stick it always looks up (and then changes the settings accordingly). It's so intuitive that most people literally never even think about it. They just do what feels natural, either pulling back or pushing up on the stick, and the game automatically allocates that to be "up" for them. It's brilliant.

Holy hell that is genius.

Yeah, I think that's it. Everything about that trailer seemed incredibly scripted and cinematic so I had a really hard time believing it was actual gameplay.

I definitely do remember it but I can't seem to find it for some reason.

I also distinctly remember thinking "there's absolutely no way this is in-game, who are they trying to fool?" when watching it. It was way too scripted and cinematic.

Honestly though if you think someone is trolling, just mark them. Calling it out will get you moderated. If you think marking them is superfluous, then maybe you should re-consider if the guy's actually trolling or not.

This is similar to proclaiming that you're putting someone on ignore getting you moderated, which actually did happen.

So I no-lifed all 115 episodes. TC is right, watching them play it is really frustrating. The impression I get from the subreddit is that (aside from perhaps OoT) this is possibly their most frustrating series. I think I might try their RE7 playthrough since I found them mostly enjoyable. And RE7's combat and puzzles are massively simple compared to TTYD, so it can't be that frustrating, right?

Funny thing is I don't remember if they even finished it because Dan is too much of a wuss.

Yeah, recording first and putting commentary later is easier to do. Tends to take away your concentration on playing the game properly when you're trying to also keep talking.

My favorites are SuperGamingBros and vash12349. I occasionally watch OverTheGun since he makes funny rants and has a major accent, but since he calls his stuff "How to Successfully Fail" it might not be for you if you hate watching someone play terribly.

Yeah, their playthrough got unbearable. I still like their commentary so I just keep their videos as background noise.

Watching the final chapter might be extremely uncomfortable because even Dan gets fed up at times with how "difficult" the game gets. I got a kick out of their reactions to the Dark Wizzerd enemy though.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is an almost obvious choice if you're into RPGs. I say almost because you might not like the style of gameplay. Look at videos of it first.

But yeah, Mario Odyssey is great, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe because I'm sure most of the community for that game moved to the Switch version, Splatoon 2 is good, Doom is great if only because of being portable. Fire Emblem Warriors is fun but like all Musou games it gets too repetitive if you play too much at once.

Not really, you just stop using them because combat is boring.

I've been doing combat just as much as early game (even moreso since early game you get crappy weapons) and I still have full inventory. I just happened to do my exploration by tower region so I ended up never having to actively search for equipment. Plus there are certain enemies and shrines that give you some of the best weapons to stock up on, so it's never an issue.

It's a growing market similar to how there are sports commentators.

Edit: I do feel like these super linear story games should have stricter rules on being recorded for Let's Plays though, if that really does hurt their sales. The alternative is to not make movie-like games though. You can have a good story in a game while it still largely being a game.

I completely forgot about another one. - First girl I had a crush with, I was too shy to say anything. She was the same age and had the same birthday as me. She ended up finding a sugar daddy, had a kid, and moved.

- Second one, I was again too shy. She reminded me a lot of Kirsten Dunst the way she looked, and her initials were even M.J. Waited too long, she moved, I didn't have her number.

- Third one, she was super friendly and flirty, she turned out to be a manipulator and took our "dates" as free meals for her, as well as stealing stuff from her coworkers. Ended up dropping contact with her.

- Fourth one, she was shorter with dark skin, found out she was a struggling single mother. Ehhh...

- Fifth, she was all flirty with me, but I wasn't interested after hearing the warnings from other people. Was just friends, by the time I got feelings for her it was too late. I'm still friends with her now, but she has a kid and is single and is not interested in me that way (I tried).

- My most recent one, she ended up talking to me, she was pleasant and funny and she was actively looking for someone to date. Found out from word of mouth that she was actually sorta interested in me (which is why she started talking to me) so I went for it, gave her my number and set up a date. A couple days later I found out she got arrested and fired for allegedly stealing a check from someone else.

Maybe I should just stay single. I'm afraid if I actually do get lucky I'll end up getting AIDS or end up with a severely suicidal girl. >_>

I don't know why you guys are so shocked. This is Capcom we are talking about. They change how people look all the time. Look at Dante, Ryu, Megaman characters, Frank West, etc etc etc

I suppose so. We should've been used to it now, especially considering Jill's drastic change in Revelations 1 compared to how she usually looks. (And it was toned down compared to how she first looked...)

So the story goes that originally Sonic Heroes was developed for just the GameCube and Xbox using a custom in-house engine. They were approached by Sony (who had the market share at the time by way of the PS2) and were basically issued an ultimatum: either produce a version of Sonic Heroes for PS2 or lose publishing rights on the platform entirely. Because Sony was just too big to ignore at the time, Sega had to rewind their development and port the entire project to Criterion Games' (the developers behind Burnout) RenderWare framework as they would have lost too much time and money rebuilding their existing asset to be fully multi-platform. The result is a lot of poorly coded physics and controls because they had to develop the game on a less purpose-built game engine.

Huh, interesting. It's funny that even then the PS2 version still ended up being the worst one.
