You understand how your wording is deliberately misleading though, right? Like this is almost certainly not what you meant when you first posted it, moreover the second half of your post:
averagejoel posted...
nonbinary and otherwise gender non-conforming people, many of whom do not experience gender dysphoria, are also lumped under the "trans" umbrella

Which is more or less nonsense. I mean, if you've never experience gender dysphoria, you are likely not trans, you simply like a particular gender role/expression better. It's the type of shit that people who don't understand transgenderism tend to think transgenderism is. "Just cause you're a girl and you like football, doesn't make you a man." Like, that's not transgenderism, and when you are uniformly accepting like this, you hurt progress for people with a real condition.

so let me get this straight:

you're trying to tell me that I don't know what I'm talking about when it comes to transgender issues

and in the same post, you say "transgenderism"

is this satire?

Without gender dysphoria, how would anyone know that there's an issue?

It makes no sense. As someone who is not transgendered, I have no sense of my gender. None at all.

a trans person does not become cis once they transition and eliminate that dysphoria. they are still trans.

there are also many trans people who are comfortable with their bodies being the way they are, and do not want to transition. they are still trans.

nonbinary and otherwise gender non-conforming people, many of whom do not experience gender dysphoria, are also lumped under the "trans" umbrella

Yes, the person who broke their bone had a broken bone at one point. A person who is transgendered had gender dysphoria at some point.

Saying 'not all transgendered individuals experience gender dysphoria' simply gives people the idea that people are just bullshitting about their 'gender'.

gender dysphoria is common among transgender people, but it's not a defining characteristic

for the history of the English Language, you should probably read:
-Beowulf
-at least a couple of the Canterbury Tales
-some of the King James Bible
-a few Shakespeare plays (the four Great tragedies - Hamlet, MacBeth, Othello, and King Lear - are good, but he also has some great comedies that tend to get overlooked in favour of those)

also lol don't read Jordan Peterson

That might have been true within the American south microcosm until cotton picking tools became the de facto standard in cotton picking as a whole. At which point the costs dropped since cotton picking was a very labor intensive process. When costs dropped, new competitors could undercut the established entities by offering cotton and cotton-products at a lower price to consumers.

Offering a good or a service at a lower price is common within capitalism. And the technology that allows people to gain more wealth is ultimately what ends up being a boon for humanity in general. See: clothing and smartphones in 2018.

ok

it still didn't improve the lives of the slaves who were actually doing the work

EDIT: Sorry, poor reading on my part. You actually think that the only way for artists to be activists is through their art. I get it. I just disagree.

No, I am not saying that. But if they have a loud voice in their music and completely choose not use that for their activism, then it makes me wonder if they are truly sincere when they do it elsewhere. I mean, getting a hit that is all over the place with a message is more powerful than a 5 minute speech when claiming an award. Also, it seems to be the hip thing to do to pretend like you care in that 5 minute. Maybe some do, but you gotta admit it is a fad.

Eminem actually had a good idea when he tried to make songs to reflect his activism.

If the activism is limited to the five minute speech at an awards ceremony, then yeah sure. Otherwise, I still disagree. Political music is not popular - they might not be able to reach nearly as many listeners with their activism if they hadn't built their platform on pop music.

there's lots of political music that's popular. it's part of almost all rap music from the super underground stuff to Jay Z

There are plenty of entry-level jobs out there that dont have anything to do with fast food, but will get you (eventually) to $15/hr.

The company I work for has a factory that starts new hires at $12/hr. They post a very large sign when they need new people - its facing an incredibly busy street at a four-corner stop light.

This is no experience needed work. We still have to hire through a temp-agency, because so few people come in and apply.

Too many people today want things handed to them, rather than even doing the bare minimum to do it for themselves.

ok? shitty jobs still exist, and some people are still forced to choose between working those jobs and starving to death

Oh no, people have to work to support themselves, we truly live in terrible times.

People have to work to support themselves and are still unable to support themselves working 60 hours a week.

Many many many more people can.

The average US rent is $1234/month.

For rent to cost less than a quarter of income, as suggested, you'd need to make $4924 a month.

At 40 hours a week, that's $30.77/hr.

The federal minimum wage is $7.25/hr

I would be real concerned if the number of workers earning minimum wage or less made up more than 3.3% of all hourly workers

no if it wasn't foreshadowed it's bad writing.

a major plot twist like that needs to be foreshadowed

it's not really a plot twist

even without the context of Clone Wars, it's pretty clear that there's something fishy going on with the clones: a massive army, ordered by a dude who died 10 years previously, shows up just as the republic is in need of an army.

not to mention that tons of people came into Attack of the Clones/Revenge of the Sith having seen the Original Trilogy, where the clones are decidedly bad guys. there's also the issue of there being very few remaining Jedi in the OT (basically just Obi-Wan and Yoda) while it's clear in AotC that there are lots and lots of Jedi. obviously something major happened between those two points - Darth Vader being known in the first place as a Jedi Hunter suggests that there were relatively few stragglers.

so Order 66 wasn't foreshadowed specifically, but it was pretty clear that something was going to happen that would result in a lot of Jedi being killed

ok see this is a decent explanation. but stormtroopers are not clones
