Hell, someone was jumped by a few people last month and a neighbor chased them away when he came outside with his gun. Not sure what happened to him but the victim got fucked up.

The admiral and others here are all hypocrites for doing this exact same thing when minorities or foreigners commit crimes and they post statistics and such to push the narrative that the problem is exclusive to race. When a topic like this pops up that paints "whites people in a negative light you get degflections to other races.

Does The_Admiral do this with other things? It sounds like his MO, but I don't recall ever seeing him defending muslim bans or talking about Islam as an issue the way many other conservative posters like Mal_Fet and darkjedilink do.

Mostly I seem to see him talking about how black people commit more crimes than white people per capita, which is true even when you control for poverty. I would, and have, argued with him about how that should be interpreted in the past but I've never seen him do this.

Most employers look at 7 years unemployed and think "so no one was willing to hire this guy for 7 years, what the hell did he do to make himself so undesireable as an employee and why the hell should I waste time with this guy ?!".

honestly most businesses won't care more about 7 years than 1 year (or even 6 months)

after being unemployed for that long your chances go down really dramatically

A synthetic control is a control group that is constructed synthetically in order to compare to the treatment group so that an analysis of the treatment can be made. It is common in social science, because finding a random control in reality can be exceedingly difficult -- in order to 'really' test it, you would need another Missouri or Connecticut that didn't (pass or repeal) gun legislation.

To be fair, a synthetic control group can be more or less well-constructed. It was a subject of debate in the recent kerfuffle around minimum wage studies in Seattle.
