I haven't been working for a while and it's not like I necessarily have a difficult time keeping myself entertained, but the pressure to find work can make life boring. I don't want to go out and do things too often because that involves spending unnecessary money and/or puts you in a situation where you can't easily respond to and take care of job prospects. I could just sit and play video games all day or something, but that also gets boring. I like to socialize but I'm not great at making friends, so work is a nice way to get out of the house and have the chance to talk to people. Plus, even if I was better at making friends, I imagine a lot of them would just be at work at the time I'd be at work if I had a job. I think that's a little different. That's just not having a job. I felt the same way when I was looking for a job. I started eating less. And eating cheap. Haha. Honestly I cant believe there are people out there who think money CANT bring happiness. So if you found out you had terminal cancer, your mother got raped, your best friend killed your father, and the love of your life just committed suicide your saying as long as you had money you'd be happy? If you answer no then you're contradicting yourself. If money=happiness, and if I wasnt worrying doesn't matter because all other factors other than whether you have money are irrelevant to happiness. If anything you seem to be arguing more that lack of money causes unhappiness, which isn't really the same thing. A lot of people seem to be mistaking the question as whether money correlates with happiness, but as it is currently worded that is not what the question is asking. Of course you'd be sad. Sad things happen. If you didn't have money, you'd also be sad. If I had a lot of money and lost it, I'd be sad, too. But life moves on. You'd have to mourn, but life would move on. And you'd find you're happiness again. But it would definitely be easier with money. One less stressor in your life. I don't think all you need is money to be happy. But it's a big factor.
