So after playing a bit more, here's my theory: Being able to change the future would be amazing (although, even IF Michel succeeded his life would still be terrible since his horrors had nothing to do with Morgana which is a bit bittersweet for him to go through all this for nothing in return), so it's not going to happen. It's too nice of an ending. Michel has already said something is "off" about this place, so I'm assuming it is all a reconstruction of that time which is why he can walk around and interact. If he succeeds in freeing the young Morgana, this won't change the future BUT it will show the real Morgana the other side of the story which will be enough to calm her.

That being said, this part has been very good so far. I quite like the sense of hope it has, even if it's fake.

So right now there's a bug with the first level of the Super Vegito event. You can farm SSR Vegito. He has no image, but still works for increasing STR Vegito's SA and his leader skill works for Buu Saga characters. Who knows how long this will last

Although at this point, I have to take Morgana's side here: I can't imagine there being anything that could redeem these three men or what they did to her. I'm not sure what kind of crazy storytelling will have to take place for what Michel wants to happen to occur.

The Final Door... well this is an interesting turn. I haven't mentioned this before, but the shifting of how the character portraits are displayed is pretty neat. Like Door 7 had these big, almost framed portraits and now this door has almost a Final Fantasy look to them and the dialog display.

So even with no dupes this Vegeta rules. I have in at 10 SA, and he's really fun in a Super STR team.

The grind for medals/pudding ain't so bad in this event. I got Vegeta awakened pretty quickly and am well on my way to getting Beerus done.

Ive definitely rage bought Lapis before and its almost instant regret. Ive significantly cut back on spending in this game over the past 6 months or so. Ill still buy bundles if theyre a good deal but I havent bought raw Lapis since Nier.

Its really just not worth it. Youre in the same situation as I am where we both have more than enough top tier units to handle any new content that comes out, so at this point its just about vanity, which is a dumb thing to spend money on when its for a digital good that no one will see.

These are my same feelings. I sometimes get the urge to spend but it's like... are these units REALLY that much better than what I have now? And the answer is no

I finished Door 7. That was miserable! It kept getting worse and worse for Michel. I mean, we knew some of it. But again, Michel having to watch his own dead body be publicly humiliated and crucified by his own brother steered back into the uncomfortable nastiness I was worried about. Seeing Michel's and Morgana's interactions were interesting at least. I guess there was a bit of hope there with that scene between Michel and the real Giselle, but of course things couldn't end on a happy note and there is yet more to see in the "final" door.

That's right, it's better to wait for the version of the U6 banner with Kefla on it. I mean, doing one discount multisummon couldn't hurt but it would probably be better to try for this new Vegeta right now.

Wound up getting the Vegeta and the Beerus, so that's good. I almost wonder if it's wroth trying to get extra copies of the Vegeta.

As for the U6 Banner, Caulifla is really good and Kale is alright. Something to considering though is that those characters will always be in the summon pool while this new Vegeta and Beerus won't.

I can see what you're saying about Door 6. Here's the difference for me:

I expected the Witch's story to be really bad. I also expected it to be the capstone of the game. I knew Michel's secret had to be revealed, but I didn't expect him to have yet another door. Michel has now had three doors cataloging his suffering. It's a lot for someone who doesn't deserve it. There's no hope in his past, present or future now that Giselle has turned against him so it's all very bleak. Aimee's torture of Michel veered into the "sadistic for no reason" instead of it feeling like building on a story. It felt like someone's off-putting fanfiction of those events, it just felt weird and not in the right way.

I think comeuppance is a big part of making the past stories more manageable. While the Witch had it bad we got to see comeuppance and then some for the people in her story. None of the Bollingers, the parents the brothers or aimee will get what's coming to them. And even if that was a consideration, they're long dead anyway so they got away with it.

OK, now I'm getting a little sick of this. Door 7 has tipped the scales of tragedy and misery way too far. Like, it's veering into some weird sadistic pleasure in torturing characters instead of being an interesting story. Obviously this VN won't have a happy ending, but it has gone so far into being evil that it's a bit unbearable.
