He was nice to people who he respected. Considering how many users here don't really deserve respect because of their posting conduct, it's not surprising that he overall came off as acidic. And even if it didn't seem like it at the time, some of his most "mean-spirited" comments were deflections from his own life. I don't fault him for that.

What a load of shit.

He had scorched-earth abrasiveness that saw him come after nearly anyone and everyone for even the pettiest shit. He didn't just give shit to the shitposters. He also mocked people for talking about their disabilities, talking about their mental health problems, talking about traumatic experiences. Not even talking about them in a pitiful or upsetting or attention whoring way, even just mentioning them in passing. It took little to no provocation for him to bring out the big guns on people, even normal people just talking about normal shit were subject to his black heart. He was very aware of this and absolutely reveled in every aspect of it.

Everyone has shit they deal with but few if any other posters here have the history of viciousness and taking things as far as he did as frequently as he did. To say you can't fault him for that, well, that reflects quite fucking poorly on you.

At the end of the day, he was. They were few, but there were some moments where he would talk about his past, how certain events in his life affected him, how he felt about certain things and why he treated people the way he did. It became clear to me that there were some major insecurities there.
