He was advised not to waive it. The initial outrage about it was somewhat overblown, because there ARE more disaster relief supplies there than there is enough manpower to distribute it.

There's still probably not enough, and waiving the Jones act can help get more there, but it's not the immediate issue

I mean the guys been in business and the public limelight for a long time and even during his campaign knows how to pull in the crowds, so unless he's had some sort of mental breakdown or gone full on narcissist since winning, his continually worsening behaviour strikes me as odd. Like he's self sabotaging, and I can only assume that's because either the above has happened or there's a reason he wants to get impeached. He's got enough money and staff to have his ass covered enough to not end up in these situations yet instead of reigning it in, it gets worse?

As I said I can't put my finger on it, but it sure as shit doesn't add up.

Is it really "getting worse" though? Or is he just getting more opportunities to be himself?

Remember his campaign remarks about John McCain, or about the Khan family. Remarks that, IMO, are in the same realm of disgusting as what he's doing now.

Is it surprising the most criticized Presidents in terms of hurricanes were those who got hit the hardest and the most damage was caused by?

I mean, I've read a lot of good arguments that most of the bad decisions made during Katrina were the fault of local officials, not the federal government, and that a lot of the good that has come in future disaster response comes from changes Bush implemented in response to Katrina and the multiple storms that hit Florida at some point in his presidency, so...

Really, the entire point that brought this up is that I feel like there's a strong contingent here that could see Trump start climbing up trees to rescue kittens and go "well maybe those kitties just wanted to be up there WHY WON'T HE LEAVE THEM ALONE," which I feel is a very dangerous attitude to have.

What if he waits until two of the three kittens are dead?

The next new alt-right line of attack on the rise: PR supplies aren't getting distributed because unions are on strike.

It's true that the unions are trying to protect their workers by saying that roads need to be safe and clear before their drivers use them, but the big problem is there aren't enough able drivers or diesel fuel to fully cover the routes that ARE open.

Literally anyone that wants to drive a truck of supplies is getting sent out somewhere that needs help, if capable.

So I guess be prepared for Trump to blame unions soon
