Munchkin is a pretty alright casual board game.

Codenames is a casual game that requires thinking.

You should look up Sonar Commander. It's like someone took battleship and actually thoughtfully designed it as a game. Also playable in real time, which is neat. Also a team game, suitable for 2-8 players, with everyone given a different role on a team.

Finished Houseki no Kuni. It's a very unique show from artstyle to characters to story to everything. Kinda pissed at where they left off since nothing is answered and its right on a cliff hanger but assuming it does get a season 2 then it's no big deal. Easily worth the watch IMO. So far this season of anime has been very good to me.

Yea, I wouldn't hold it against you getting ticked off for a soft, "go read the manga" ending. Regardless, there's plenty of cool shit that happens in the show, that I'm not too offended. Not so much a cliffhanger, but a jar of worms looming to be opened. You can't really blame them, 1-cour show has to stop somewhere. Besides, I was sold to go read the manga 1/4th through the show.

Also, I've said before that the show was incredibly popular in Japan, so there's a significant chance that it'll get another season.

Busted 60 something dollars

Baldur's gate - classic late 90's western RPG.

Overcooked - for the rainy day, actual video game that a girl could/would play.

Infinifactory - Zachtronics puzzle game. It's always hard, and incrementally so that it's always challenging you despite you getting better at the game.

Final Fantasy XIII - Uhh, I haven't played any final fantasy RPG's since PS2 era. They were honestly quite a pasttime for me.

Tooth and Tail - Modern RTS with that indie game aesthetic polish? The one with tiny teams working years on a project?

Endless Legend - Decent game developers making a 4x strategy game, set in it's own imaginative fantasy world.

Houseki no kuni finished airing. It started out at 6.9 score on MAL and is now almost 8.5. I fucking love this show. The first episode is alright, but every subsequent episode is exponentially more captivating.

Instead of conversing with cute girls, you converse with a plethora of alien races/societies. If sci-fi is your thing, you're really missing out if you haven't played it. Also, games in the 90's don't hold your hand, and quest logs are basically your personally handwritten notes. Use a walkthrough if you don't want to put up with that.

So in trying to broaden my anime range a bit I decided to watch a series called Touseu Densetsu Akagi, a series about mahjong which is quite unlike anything I usually watch, after finishing episode 25 I was looking forward to the last episode since it would mark the end of this epic 10 episode match that was going on.... however my hopes were dashed after the second half of the episode where after the MC got his foe to continue playing with a stunt that was quite insane to see. What happened was a complete cut of the last part of said match, all of a sudden the voice-over guy says "this match will go down in history as a legend" and then cuts to a scene 35 years later where the presumed MC is just walking along and that's it.
Nothing else
What a waste of a build-up that took up almost half of the episodes to get to that point
I had been enjoying it up until this happened, I could only give it a 4/10 at the most since it disappointed me so much and that's what I did, a real waste of what could've been a great series.

Onto something new then: I watched the first episode of Boruto and to my surprise found it to be a good opener for this new series, I'll probably watch some more of it now

With actual depression, sometimes you cant revel in anything. Nothing feels positive or good, even things that used to make you happy. That is not an actual solution for real depression.

And like I said, some people are just feeling depressive and are not actually depressed. Psychiatry as a field is really muddy, and it isn't anywhere close to an exact science compared to shit like math or physics. I wouldn't be surprised if centuries from now, they look back on psychiatry today and compare it like alchemy to chemistry.

Sure there's people who actually have brain chemistry imbalance, there's a hell lot of people who are diagnosed with depression and treated with drugs when all they actually need is proper support and counseling.

It is annoying because it's the truth. I've been there. There's no helping someone who isn't trying to help himself, even if they're complaining about their issues one way or the other. Imparted wisdom is just useless knowledge unless applied, experienced, and taken to heart.

I don't mean just think positively, I mean surround yourself and revel in anything positive. However small and insignificant it can be, it's all useful.

Hey look, it's saturday. Time to watch Houseki no kuni and then gush about how much I love about it here. Apparently in Japan, it's the second most popular/successful anime this season by far after the juggernaut known as love live sunshine. The show started at a 6.9 rating on MAL and is now a 7.6, if you value MAL statistics. It's a travesty that it doesn't have the popularity even close to the other show's this season, but thankfully, there's a ridiculous amount of fan art for the show given how much of a following there is in Japan. Back when I was a teenager me and a few friends would have a small LAN party and play Battlefield 1942

Eventually we would get bored so we would join games that had friendly fire turned on and just focus on sabotaging our own team. We would place land mines all along the runways so planes would blow up, or we would offer to control the gunner of planes while someone else piloted but as soon as we were in the air we would spin around and fire the turret of the plane at the tail to bring he whole thing down.

One time 3 of us picked the engineer class and just did the little wrench animation at a random guy for several minutes while he was trying to actually fight. When he respawned I guess he thought he would get in on it so he ran up to us as an engineer and started wrench-ing right as we all got blown up by a grenade. Shit was hilarious.

Another battlefield 1942 LAN story. So the jeep could only fit 2 people. There were 3 of us around, so someone had to be left behind. However, we figured out you could ride the jeep by standing ontop of it. We were giggling like school children at this discovery. Quickly, we got 2 more others to ride on top with us, and now we're truly a ruckus of giddy school boys heading to a party. We drove for 10 seconds before we hit a mine, killing everyone onboard. We were all dying of laughter at the sequence of events.

Me story. In CS:GO, it's a 5v5 game, best of 16 out of 30 rounds. Despite everyone being strangers, we agreed to play only with knives and flashbangs; no guns allowed. I've played 700 hours of this game, and this kind of thing never happened again. Anyways, everyone honorably abide by the rules for the entire match. In the last round, my teammate, faced with a 1v3 and losing the match 14-16, finds them all in one room, idling around since they could take him on easily. He whips out of his rifle that he bought premeditatively at the beginning of the round for this moment, and quickly kills all 3 of them within seconds before they could react to the gross misconduct and use their sidearm. Everyone's reaction was basically this:

Well, sorry to disappoint you guys, I picked No game no life. I'm feeling for something short I guess. Based on one episode, I really like how vibrant and saturated the colors/aesthetic are. Visually, it feels like an acid trip. I can't think of another show that dumps that much color on you.

I finished Irregular at magic high school like last week, and now I'm going from OP protagonist to OP protagonist. Oh well.

About the other anime you guys mentioned:

Baccano, I heard runs a bunch of concurrent plots/characters that coalesce at some point, I'm not feeling for an anime to think hard on.

Ergo Proxy, I think I would have watched if I didn't pick something already. I know it's sci-fi heavy, and has Paranoid Android for its ED; OK Computer is one of my favorite albums.

GTO, I'm in limbo after watching like 3/4ths of it. It was a lot more enjoyable at the start than where I am now, I still want to finish it though.

Yuru Yuri, I enjoyed the first season, and will get around to it when I'm feeling it.

K-On and Manabi Straight, for some sweet SoL, when I'm feeling it. A shorter one or longer one to boot.

Yea, you get the point. Anything on the list is priority to watch, and I only disregard it for seasonal anime or a strong spur of the moment for something else.
