I'm not usually one to play optimist with this kind of thing, but I do think that video is incomplete. The person who uploaded it said they basically just faffed about trying to find combinations that worked on their own, and the result is pretty much just the ones we knew about already plus the Yamcha one. I feel like a pretty big grouch when it comes to this game. I don't want to put down anyone who's excited for it as is but... I guess I don't get it? The gameplay we've seen so far looks bizarrely stiff and not fun at all, and this big move at telling a serious story feels weird for a series where the story's largely been an excuse for awesome gameplay stuff to happen.

Swordz is probably having the same issue I had - we both have enough 5*s that our cost cripples our ability to run as many of the events CEs as these last quests probably expect. (We can both only run a MLB of Bloom and Star, no stacking.)

I fixed the issue by grabbing a friend with a MLB Star on support and it made a world of difference. Went from dying with Altera at 600k to winning with only one Servant down.

I think this is a great fighter to play if you don't have too much experience in the genre - it definitely feels much easier to get in to than something like GG/BB but (to my eye and based on early tech I'm seeing) still has the insanely high skill ceiling fighters are known for.

Pretty satisfied! Got 25 matches in and won 20 of them. Most of my opponents kept spamming the dash so they just mostly ended up being combo practice, but I had one REALLY good opponent. He completely decimated me in the first match and forced me to quickly adapt to how this game's neutral game actually works. I managed to do it in time and won two in a row to take the set! That's a great feeling you can only really get in a fighter.

This for sure. The manga is one of the all-time greats. (Or at least it will be if Miura stops playing Idolmaster for long enough to finish it before he dies of old age.) The original anime is pretty good but basically just serves as a glorified trailer for the manga.

The new anime is AIDS, stay as far away as humanly possible.

The controls and presentation are still the same but it used to be a handheld 1v1 game, now it's taking some very obvious pages from the Gundam VS games (most obviously 3v3, but also stuff like the team lifebar,) to try to emulate their success on consoles and in arcades.

FEH is great if you only care about the story but there's basically no content there. You absolutely need strong units if you want to mess with the other stuff.

Fate/GO is probably the best gacha game I've ever seen in that regard. Story is actually substantial, lots of events, and you can clear all content with welfare units. Rates on high rank units are terrible but the only reason to pull is waifu/husbando factor. (On that note, the game does a stunning job of making you actually care about the units since they all have their own stories and such.)
