Let's be honest though, there's an oversaturation of online multiplayer shooters as it is. Just look at that Evolve noise. No one wants to shell out money for something that they know will be dead in a few years and effectively become worthless.

Basically, if the developers are too cheap/lazy to program some sort of AI so that you can play by yourself, why reward them with your money?

The Tony Hawk games are universally celebrated even by non-skaters.

SCII is an iconic fighting game and generally recognized as the peak of the series.

The 007 games were the Call of Duty of the day.

Prince of Persia was a top 5 series that defined the 6th gen.

Nintendo's exclusives during the GameCube era were weak as hell. You had Melee but then a bunch of really forgettable stuff. Pikmin never took off and became a staple franchise, Mario Sunshine is the weakest of the 3D Marios, Luigi's Mansion was unique but still just a minor spin off, and Wind Waker was polarizing.

Because of the bolded, this is probably the worst post on CE at the moment.

You got your ass handed to you in a topic like this before when you tried to make the case that the GC had a bad library. There's a reason why it is mentioned in the same breath as the PS2 nowadays, while the original Xbox is not.

Marvel doesn't put out much dark gritty material. They mostly go the whimsical goofy route. Hell, the only major work from Alan Moore that they have put out is Miracleman, and that's just because they bought the rights from the character's creator.

I came to CE in 07 when CEnco De Mayo happened. That was an absolute clusterfuck.

Makes me feel old. The main troll back then was Butters. He's still here under a different name but that dude ruled the trolling with an iron fist back in the day. Duckbear too although with a totally different gimmick back in those times.

Now it's peeps like Veg and "The Fam" plus a crapton of political shitposters.

How early did Butters start trolling in 2007? He said that he was on RI in like 2005 or 6, but I know he was posting on here at least by late 2007 and had become hated even prior to his account bet on Feb 2, 2008 and his subsequent uptick in trolling.

Also, Duckbear got his last LUE account banned in March of 2008 and I don't recall him posting much in 2008. It was like Butters sort of took over that niche.
