azuarc 09/18/17 11:51:23 PM #187 | well, that was disappointing. 2.20, 5.20, 5.60, and 3.20 from my four players in that game. One was benched, but the other 3 were supposed to get 32 points. --- |

azuarc 09/18/17 9:49:52 PM #298 | VeryInsane posted... And even in Wild it's not gonna be game winning. Shaman just out pressures now and there's Reno decks everywhere. Out of curiosity, how much wild do you play? I rarely see tempo shaman, and ship's cannon is extremely obnoxious. It's not quite like having a turn 2 flamewaker, but it's close. That said, I agree with your core argument. --- |

That's a hell of a lot better than I thought it would be going into the evening games. We both have about 32 points projected still on the board, so y'know what? I'll take that. Sigh. 22 pts wasn't what I had in mind. You're RBs are killing me, man. 5 TDs between them. Also, Jason Witten's not supposed to be having these kind of games, but with Reed doing little and then getting injured, at least I seem to have a go-to backup. Pity I didn't play him this week, though. For all my talk of leaving points on the bench, I didn't think I would have gotten 20 from Witten. --- |

azuarc 09/16/17 9:54:38 PM #145 | I agree. I've got Wentz in now, and even Yahoo agrees with me, considering his projection's a point higher. I'm more worried about bending it with Beckham. --- |

azuarc 09/16/17 3:06:34 PM #17 | D:OS was a game that tried to be great and missed. There were just too many problems with the design. When you looked past all the nuisances, though, it was pretty darn good. I'm curious who's gotten OS2, and if they can report back on how much has changed in that regard. I know RPS is gone, but what about inventory management? Movement difficulties both in and out of combat? The story being dreadful? Skill and attribute system not being incredibly well balanced...then again, just having RPS gone is enough to make this game jump a couple notches. --- |

azuarc 09/16/17 10:57:56 AM #143 | This is looking very much like a week I could coach myself out of a win. Do I play OBJ or not? Do I leave Perkins in the line-up or replace him with Riddick, who performed much better in week 1? If I sit OBJ, who do I run instead? With Cam having an off week last week, do I trust Carson Wentz instead? Ugh, it's tough not to make knee jerk reactions in week 2 in general, but I bet you I lose this week while leaving the differential on my bench. --- |

azuarc 09/14/17 9:11:19 PM #106 | No idea. The funny thing about Bethesda games is that their plot is so protracted in terms of how you witness it, such that most people probably don't even think about these things. Or at least I don't. --- |

azuarc 09/14/17 4:10:16 PM #103 | Lucavi000 posted... I dont think so. The BoS see synths as abominations and the Railroad helps them. I'm pretty sure you can be friendly with either or and the Minutemen but not all 3. I already said that this is exactly how my first playthrough ended up. I built the device with Minutemen, and because I never did the "kill the other guys" quest for either BoS or RR, they just both continue to exist. Corrik posted... It doesn't make sense cuz 1. Oh, there's certainly some inconsistencies there. I assumed Kellogg's non-aging was because they did stuff to him that they realized wasn't a good idea for others. Or the director simply had a condition they couldn't fix. I don't recall where Nick says he saw Kellogg with Shaun since I played the main quest bits at a time, so I wasn't cataloguing every moment as I went, but Nick is a cyborg himself, so he could've been around 50 years ago if that's when it happened. I doubt that's actually the case, but just floating that out there. I don't recall the flashback, though. Why couldn't it have been a synth? They obviously made some Shaun synths. --- |

azuarc 09/14/17 8:16:57 AM #99 | Fallout 4's big reveal is like an M. Night Shamayalan movie, post-Sixth Sense. You know they're setting you up for it, because you keep asking the obvious question that they refuse to address until then. Namely, It still doesn't come across as highly believable to me, especially when The Institute's plotline has the director asking you to take his place, despite not knowing crap about The Institute. That's always the funny thing about Bethesda games -- run a couple special high-profile missions for a faction and they suddenly promote you to head honcho, where you do exactly nothing for them -- but it's especially weird in this case. --- |

azuarc 09/12/17 1:21:21 AM #130 | QB: My back-up (Wentz) played better, but 15 points from Cam's okay for now. RB: Fournette was good. Riddick was okay. Perkins and Duke Johnson were pretty bad. WR: absolute dumpster fire this week, considering the quality I have at the position. TE: Reed was disappointing. Meanwhile Witten would have added 9 points. Other: My kicker got injured? Bleh. Whatever. DST brought in 22. IDPs were mediocre at best. WickIebee posted... And there's my loss, Melvin Ingram's already scored the two points you needed. Irma made me lose this week :/ Sorry. My team underperformed enough that you certainly could have won that. --- |

azuarc 09/10/17 11:51:12 PM #95 | Corrik posted... Literally have no idea why anyone is sympathetic to synths. Try doing their missions. I didn't even realize that was an option without siding with them immediately. Like, BoS guy got mad at me for failing to secure their trust in order to blahblahblah, and I didn't know what happened, because I just said F U when I went in following the teleport and decided I couldn't stand cooperating with them. But I loaded that save and went back and found that they actually have a storyline that presents them as justifiable, at least from the way they perceive things. They give absolutely no credence to the people who live on the surface, but that's also because they think life on the surface isn't all that sustainable and that furthering mankind is never going to take place in the wastes. --- |

azuarc 09/09/17 11:10:29 AM #86 | Corrik posted... azuarc posted...Forceful_Dragon posted...If you ever need caps you just need to make a settlement into a massive water farm. What's the point of anything in the game then? Just finish the main quest and get out. In an open world game, you have to find something that serves as your anchor. In my case, it's exploring all the locations, plundering them thoroughly, and then selling the spoils. The only real measures of my progress are how many locations there are on the map and how big my stack of caps is. --- |

azuarc 09/08/17 4:05:51 PM #77 | Forceful_Dragon posted... If you ever need caps you just need to make a settlement into a massive water farm. While this is true, my goal isn't to farm money. My goal is to earn money. Gear and experience do represent your adventures to a certain degree, but even moreso is your pile of caps (or gold) earned from adventuring. Unfortunately, to do that, I have to farm the vendors. --- |

If I can beat this so called winner of the draft without Winston and Jizz Rodgers before Doug Martin comes back... then I just schooled Nick who laughed at me for having Goff as my backup. I noticed your point total took a dive. I was wondering what happened. I haven't kept up on football news, though. In your favor, OBJ might not play. Y'know, because swiss cross is gud. --- |

azuarc 09/05/17 9:50:34 PM #53 | I do store it in my workshop. All the leftover stuff gets put there, and I occasionally make rounds and all the vendors both at home and in Diamond City. It's still not enough. There just aren't enough caps in the game, even with appropriate perks. --- |
Topic | Fallout 4 - Come help me play (spoilers) |
azuarc 09/05/17 7:35:37 PM #51 | That doesn't get you caps. I was selling equipment, not junk items. I have a policy of picking up all items and only items that have a certain weight-to-value ratio. Usually 5:1, I think, though it's less in the beginning and more later on. I like to think that your acquisition of currency is some kind of metric of your level of achievement in the game...unfortunately, that never works out when you can't actually sell the stuff you pick up. Same problem in Elder Scrolls games, obviously. --- |
