For real, there is a lot of venom getting spit out at the people who disliked the movie as well as venom getting spit out from the people who hated it. The reaction to this film has been fairly toxic on both sides. I have yet to read something positive about this film that is logical. Which is fine, sometimes you can just like a movie for no real reason. Personally, my biggest problem with it is that TFA spent so much time building up mysteries and planting seeds and then TLJ said "nope." I wasn't a fan of TFA planting so many seeds either and my view on those hinged on the thought that "maybe it will all make sense with the sequel." Well I gave the sequel a chance and it left me with very unsatisfying answers that I found fairly contrived. They never should have made Rey's parents reveal a big thing. They should have just mentioned it at the start of TFA without leaving a mystery for the next movie to acknowledge. The fact that they built it up and it ended up being nothing was the problem. JJ Abrams built up all of these plot threads with no idea where to take them and then some other guy did whatever he wanted with them. Walt Disney World refers to the entirety of that property which includes the four theme parks, two water parks, and a bunch of resorts, golf courses, Disney Springs, etc. Or people just leave out the Walt and just say Disney World. Also, don't go during the busy times of the year. I've always gone in early December or late January/early February. Lines and crowds are very manageable that time of year, but weekends are always busy. I'm sure it'll help a bit once all of the construction at Hollywood Studios is done and they rename that park. It should all be done around mid-late 2019. That'll be when the new Star Wars Land opens. Toy Story Land opens up there around upcoming May/June. Tourism in general in that entire Orlando/Central Florida area has been growing a lot. Universal has been pouring money into their parks and stolen a good chunk of the market share from Disney. Disney's profits have still been growing though as the market has just grown that much. They are attempting to grow further by taking back their previous portion of the market share from Universal. So yeah expect for everything down there to continue to grow. There is some weird union loophole that allows UPS to force its workers to work tonight on Christmas AND not pay us at a holiday pay rate or even time and a half. I had been mulling over it for the last few hours and just decided screw it and called in. I got a voice mail inbox and just said I won't be showing up. Last time I called in was in September. They say you can easily call in once a month no problem at this place. I have over 5 days of sick time saved up so they should be able to use some of that time. Screw UPS for being greedy and trying to get people to work on Christmas day so they can deliver packages tomorrow. This company is downright awful and I'm sick of working for them.
