It's two years too early right now to know if he'll run for a second term. The dems are pretty irrelevant right now as they caused much of the problems too and can't talk about any real issues as they all have the same corporate donors to help. They can't talk about income inequality because their guys Clinton and Obama made it happen too. This tax bill was going to be horrible and the Dems never even proposed anything else at all? They serve the same corporate masters and nobody likes them but so what? If they have nothing to say but **** Trump and Russia Russia Russia they'll lose even more power ten months from now. **** them they are the inauthentic opposition party and are as much a part of the problem as the Repubs as they're together the two sides of the same coin. And that coin is in who's pocket? The business party never loses. Three years is a long time in politics but right now I see Trump not running for reelection and can seriously see the 2020 election being whoever wins the Repubs nominees vs Michelle Obama. |

The data is there if we want to look at it. Productivity has increased immensely in the last generation so have the increased profits 'trickled down' to us as was promised a generation ago? Or have things been great for the top 15%, amazing for the top 5%, and unbelievable for the top 1% and especially the .1%? Neoliberal has been in effect for six presidents now as it started under Carter and really took off under Reagan and Clinton. By privatizing everything possible and derugulating anything possible how are we doing compared to two generations ago? Higher standards of living and pay for all of us with less homelessness and financial insecurity? How's the system working out for everybody, as we all have to live in it whether we have any power in it and can affect anything about it or not. |

Yeah sex with coworkers was a benefit to being a CNA. I used to smile when friends say they can't meet women, because I would meet dozens just by going to work. And nice on that pay, I wish I had gone to an agency had I known then. I did four years in nursing homes and still miss parts of the job, but not the showering people because I hated doing that because I would get so sweaty with all the hot water and scrubbing. OT if you're not busy than go over and help because being busy helps the time go by faster. If you're doing well working in a nursing home it means that you are a worker so you know that it's better to have busy than be bored. So what if they're being lazy about it, just tell them to get you snacks to make it worth your while. Everybody like snacks. |

This removed a traditional and effective wedge issue which the system has been trying to replace, and while trans will never fully replace homosexuality as it doesn't affect enough people it does involve non-majority sexuality so it has some effectiveness as a wedge issue. Homosexuality, which affects ~10% of the human race, was a traditional part of the god, guns, gays, race, and immigration wedge issues which have effectively kept Americans apart from each other and prevented worker solidarity for generations. Trans only affects about ~.5% of the human race and therefore will never be a full replacement for homosexuality, but the system will keep trying while also doubling down on religion, race, and immigration since guns can't be used right now while the Repubs run the executive, legislative, and judicial branches. Can you imagine the NRA trying to say that Trump will be taking people's guns? Of course not that's only a wedge issue when they Dems have power. To illustrate how wedge issues work I like to quote Karl Rove in 2004 while he was running Bush 2's reelection campaign, "I don't actually care what people think about God, guns, and gays I just prefer that they think about God, guns, and gays instead of thinking about where their jobs went." |

I'm not sure if those people can be voted on in the midterm elections or if we'll have to wait until 2020 but we'll show them that human humans are important too not just corporate humans. Same I worked on some indie film sets in NYC back in the day and it's really boring most of the time. The movie that you see is a final product that required many different people in post production, since that's where most of the movie magic comes from. And any 'making of' or 'behind the scenes' things you have watched still don't show you how boring it gets once you've been on set for a few hours and people are getting cranky and/or restless. |
