It sounded to me like he did make a decision to make this his beacon and you inserted your know-it-all brain and basically told him he shouldn't do that. Correct me if I'm wrong. If he "decided this was what he needed" then maybe you should leave well enough alone. Considering scarlet feels unwanted and he made the decision to stay in his own topic, you coming in here to tell him to leave is downright unhelpful.

I don't have any such things or I would have. I only have my suspicions based on nothing concrete but as someone else said, take who is on the outs with scarlet and whose sense of humor slycooper reminds you of and you'd have my assumption on who it is. Genny phrased that pretty badly honestly (and I just read it a few minutes ago because I had no idea what the hell you were talking about). Obviously I shared my suspicions with her, but there's really no point to do that in here.

Personally speaking, neither of you should be giving this sort of advice because quite frankly you don't know what the hell you're talking about. I've been in this situation before; where this board is the source of your pain and depression, or at least a healthy contributor to it, but at the same time it is also the place where some of your closest friends hang out.

The last thing someone upset needs is total isolation. It may sound easy and simple to say "go outside" or something, but if it isn't what you're accustomed to and people who actually care about you are here then it's a terrible thing to suggest anyone doing.

It's not supposed to. Assassins are a lot different, really. The line is usually decently clear. I'm not real wild on the Deadpool/stroke noms either honestly. Deadpool's role as a true Bounty Hunter lasted almost no time. I'll reserve any sort of DQ for later though.

Who will be next to join the Hall of Kings?

Welcome to King of the Mountain, a long-running standard Save My style contest in which 100 representatives of a particular type of character battle it out to see who is the very best at what they do. This is the 23rd iteration of this contest, dating back to 2011. This time, as selected by popular majority, the theme is Bounty Hunters.

Bounty Hunter

-A character that hunts for criminals or animals when a money reward bounty is offered.

I've decided against characters that don't hunt for living things. Those are basically just Treasure Hunters, which is a strong standalone category that I'm not going to have crossover with this one. It also doesn't strike anyone to call Lara Croft or Nathan Drake a "bounty hunter". It isn't befitting for the category.

The overlap with Assassins is unavoidable, some assassins could definitely be called bounty hunters too. This isn't a first or anything since that category was overlapped by Ninja to some extent. However, Bounty Hunters typically differ because they work from bounties offered rather than doing actual contract killings. When in doubt, look for references in whatever media they're from calling them a "bounty hunter". It's a near shoe-in for inclusion.

Rules:

-You may nominate 5 characters per hour.
-A character needs 3 unique nominations to qualify.
-The first 100 characters to qualify will make up the field.
-No trading or rallying.
-Characters may be from any media source, but must be fictional in nature.
-I reserve the right to disqualify any character if I feel they are inappropriate for the category.

As usual, if you're in doubt then it's probably a bad idea to nominate the character. As I said, there can be a fine line between this category and others, so use your best judgment when nominating. The best thing you can do is find the character's source material referring to them as a bounty hunter, this will ensure inclusion.

I would not view them that way because they don't really do anything but the same thing over and over again, and it's not "taking bounties" which is kinda what you need for this category. I don't think they've ever been once called bounty hunters so that hurts a bit. If you can find where they are, I'll consider though.

Assassins typically get employed by someone, bounty hunters are often more freelance. Yes there's overlap (there was significant overlap with Ninja for Assassins too since many ninja are assassins). The words "bounty hunter" being used by the media to describe them is overwhelmingly helpful though. It's one of the things I'll be looking the most for.
