One of the board games I received for Christmas was Ghost Fightin' Treasure Hunters. Now I know that this is geared toward teens or adolescents, but my family and I had a blast with it. We didn't even win on our first attempt using the basic rules.

I'm not looking for anything with too complicated of rules as well as games that take too long (let's say anything 75+ minutes is not a good fit). So far, I have Hanabi and Forbidden Island/Desert as potential choices.

I set up my PS4 yesterday and have been installing many games. For some necessary background information, I had someone hack into my account this year (or maybe late last year) to purchase a high amount of in-game currency for a FIFA game. I could not get the money refunded but Sony put the same amount of money in my wallet as a "one time courtesy."

I finally used up the last of it just in the past few hours, and I have no idea what game to start with. I think that I might do either a racing game or a game that I can't play on XB1, but that leaves a lot of games left. Maybe I can make a final decision by Friday.

It ended up being Wave Race 64.

I am always fascinated looking back at games that I regularly played 15-20 years ago who have in-game records. In the past year, I revisited the Gamecube Mario Party games and ended up beating a lot of my old records. I did the same with the N64 ones, and I can't come close setting any new records.

Related to this though, F-Zero X has a Death Race mode where you have to destroy the other racers' vehicles. I play cup races a couple times each year, but I haven't done the Death Race in a long time. My old record was 1:36, which is destroying one vehicle basically every three seconds. I tried it a few times, and the best I got was 3:09. I will never be as good as I used to be in the late 90s.
