I'm leaving for Comic Con tomorrow, and I've barely prepared at all. I only just now picked out what to wear, and I don't even know what celebrities/guests are gonna be there. (I don't usually go for autographs or anything because they're too dang expensive).

I'm a little bummed because for some reason I can't find my Hen Tie shirt anywhere, and I always wear that to cons. But I saw that Jewel Staite is gonna be there, so I'm thinking of trying to get my Firefly signed.

Edit: oh snap; there's a "What's That Anime" contest with shows from the 90's. Time to redeem myself.

I don't remember her name, but there was a college student recently who did porn, and when her school found out she was publicly shamed and committed suicide. I checked out the video afterward and didn't feel bad about doing it. It was a choice she made after all.

Oh wow, I am so sorry.

I can't say I've had to deal with that before; even when I lost my old Vita, I had most of my saves backed up. And you can replace a system, but you can't replace the memories and proof of effort with each game save.

Seriously, fuck Sony. They did everything in their power to make sure the Vita failed; it's a testament to the system's greatness that it's still thriving as much as it is. There are times I feel bad about using less than legal/official methods, but then I think of Sony and those feelings fly away.

On the subject of games, I'm so glad I keep my Vita on 3.60 firmware. PS Mobile has been cracked, so I can finally once again play the PSM games that I PAID FOR, which thanks to Sony's asinine over-the-top security measures and shutting down the service forever I previously couldn't play them after I got a replacement Vita.

There's a huge problem when you have to resort to homebrew and hacking to play the games you already own.

Any time I play Sonic Adventure. The game has its flaws, but playing as Sonic, speeding around and launching yourself into the air, is just so damn fun.

Kind of like that Kirby story, I went over to my brother's house one time after he got a Wii and New Super Mario Bros. Wii. It was my first time playing and I don't think we'd ever played a co-op platformer before, but we were in total sync. There was one part where in order to reach one of those big coins, you had to jump off a player's head and then wall jump. We both headed toward it, and without saying a word or even slowing down, we pulled it off flawlessly.

I would say I find that hard to believe, but Kiss x Sis is the pinnacle of ecchi (followed closely by To Love-ru Darkness). I need to catch up too; I've been reading since the chapters were in the single digits.

that gets several different versions or remixes for different contexts?

I can't think of many examples, except for Super Mario World, where the main theme, athletic theme, underwater, ghost house, bonus stage and even the castle theme were all based on the same basic melody. It was also done in the overworld of Crash Team Racing, with the music changing dynamically as you drove to different areas.

The problem with Iris is that they simply don't know what to do with her. She has no powers, she's not a scientist, she's not even a cop, and yet she's supposed to be a main character. It's not easy to make that work.

Maybe it's different for full-on lesbianism, but I've heard that adolescent Japanese girls being slightly more-than-friendly with each other is actually pretty common, and is typically treated by adults as something they'll simply grow out of. The way it's viewed, they're exploring the new realm of romance and sexuality with those they're already closest to.

I gotta say, Kevin and Leah still have fantastic chemistry as a duo.

Its a little different now because Leah's character is a little more subdued than Carrie, and isn't a bitch. But the two play well off each other.

I like reading because you can go at your own pace. And if you're reading manga you can linger on one page to appreciate the art/dialogue; watching a film you'd have to freeze frame or rewind.

Fun fact, he's the same dude who's making Kiss x Sis, and there's a character in that who's sole defining trait is that she's into pee play.

And he did a manga called Super Love Potion, a yuri which is literally about drinking pee. I'm.. not proud of how much I like it.

I love Bow Ditama's works. He did the art for Mahoromatic, one of my all time favorites.

And on the subject of hentai (I was actually gonna mention this before the topic even shifted to this), there was this one I was reading yesterday; you know that harem trope where people slip and fall into perverted situations? Well this was that, but full on porn. Three people accidentally shifted into a gangbang. There are no words.

Finally finished Phoenix Wright 1; Ema started as a Maya expy, but I'm really gonna miss her now. I'm still in a mystery/visual novel mood, so maybe I'll finally start Danganronpa 2. I wanted to finish replaying the first game, but I'm not feeling it.

From the little bit of the manga I read, it was actually the other way around; the guy smacked the girl around extremely often. Maybe that left a bad taste and they changed it for the anime or something.

But the girl who takes the most beatings has gotta be Kuro from Black God/Kurokami. If she's not getting beaten to a bloody pulp in a fight, she's being beaten up by the protagonist himself. I heard his jerkass tendencies were drastically toned down in the anime.
