So thoughts from girlfriend after (finally) watching the quarter finals for Mae Young Classic.

My buddy spoiled her on who wins a week ago. She was upset that she was spoiled.

She was sad that Abbey Laith lost to Mercedes but enjoys just how much Mercedes mugs for the cameras and looks like a thug.

She hates Shayna Baszler for reasons of being mean to Candice LeRae, choking her after bell, and kicking her after the match. She thinks that the result should have been overturned and that Shayna doesn't even seem that good because she just lucks out and snatches on her submission out of nowhere. She thinks she will make the finals because she is Ronda Rousey's friend. Yes, it is even that predictable to people who don't watch wrestling.

She didn't get why Piper Niven was so nice all of a sudden. She loves Toni Storm and thinks that Piper was pretty cute in the beginning of the match. She was super happy Toni won though.

And then she knew Kairi Sane wins and was till happy to watch Kairi because she's adorable. She liked Dakota Kai's kicks a lot though.

Maybe we'll finish this eventually!

Remember last year when Dean Ambrose came out to beat up AJ Styles after he was eliminated at Suvivor Series? And they booed the shit out of him and called him a stupid idiot? You know what happened the second Reigns and Rollins starting working together for a mini-Shield reunion? Crowd went absolutely nuts.

Shield trumps all.

That was not expected.

People expect it this time. They will boo Roman, but probably not the Shield entirely. The theme song is getting booed every time though.

Most important thing about the crossover this year is that they're not stretching it out into the whole week. A two night event has a better chance of making a more cohesive story instead of half a series episode and half of a crossover episode.

Another issue is that before Roman Reigns, John Cena was always having the same match where he came out of nowhere with the five moves of doom (which is still more than Roman's literal two moves he uses multiple times in matches).

They don't know how to book matches for their top guys, is the main issue. It's why Cena was booed savagely before Roman, except Roman is actually so much worse than Cena ever was with his bullshit finishes. Like, how many AA's did Roman kick out of? And avalanches, double AAs? Everything? And he still just beats Cena with a punch to the head and a tackle.

It's just that Roman is so limited in the ring that you can't build a match around him and make him look great. The dude needs more than a punch and a tackle. He has a convoluted basement dropkick and I think he does the Samoan Drop, but other than that I don't think I know a single other move Roman does.

I didn't watch the PPV, but I could have told you that there was no chance Brock was losing.

The end game is Roman. It's always Roman. After Samoa Joe failed to take the title from Brock, I knew that no matter what, Brock wasn't losing the title until he gets to Roman. And it's just so boring because they're all more or less the same heatless feuds. It doesn't matter how over everyone else gets, WWE won't let them go to that next level because they want a part-time champion to look dominant before putting over Roman.

And from what I've heard from the Roman match, it was the kind of match everyone loathes from Roman. Wherein he is the most boring bastard on the planet and wins in a nonsense finish after his opponent looks amazing. Roman's wrestling style absolutely does him no favors. I heard they had Cena raise his arm too which... You know, after they had both The Rock and Daniel Bryan try that, you would think they wouldn't be so stupid. But here they are.

Heard Enzo won in a terrible match after the way he's been treated. Either book him better or don't give him the title. It makes no sense.

I think it's ridiculous that they're already showing trailers for DLC characters who were clearly not added to the game specifically so they could be sold as DLC. Greedy ass company.

I think there's some stuff on NXT that WILL work but they don't really go through with it very well or at all.

Like Ascension is a very good example of something that would have succeeded if they didn't get their legs cut from under them. I'd also say that American Alpha should have worked too.

I think the graphics look great in motion though. When matches are happening, it looks great and dynamic. When you try to do cutscenes and stuff it looks worse, but I don't think it looks bad at all.

Meh, I don't care about the story plot too much. It was camp as all hell and not great, but it was something?

I'm having fun with the game, but I haven't had as much time to play it as I've wanted. I'm trying to make an Iron Man and Frank West team work since I discovered that you can tag in Frank during the Proton Cannon and snap two pictures before it's over, giving him level 5 a lot of times during that.
