i feel like anytime before, say, 2008, writing about net culture would have been suicide from a marketing perspective since it wasn't really a huge thing- a book about friends who meet each other via a message board would have probably been shrugged at (even Serial Experiments Lain had to have a cyberpunk angle to make it work). unfortunately, in the spirit of instantaneous connection, we went from it being something no one would write about to something that is already written to death.

describe the flavor of the brown liquid.

it's a mushroom sauce, just beef stock with mushrooms and pepper. i didn't let it reduce enough so there was too much sauce.

it was pretty salty since i didn't buy the low sodium stock. also put too much pepper in it so it had a lot of kick. overall though it tasted pretty good with the mushrooms.

Looks pretty cool tbh

I have hard time getting thick cuts of meat to cook through when I cook in a pan. It either doesn't get a good enough crust cause I go low and slow, or I do sear it well but it's undercooked in the middle

Looks like you did a good job

i cooked two pieces of meat, one got a bit burnt on the outside, but the first one came out perfectly
