Man of Steel really fucked-up Supes' character

The more I think about Man of Steel, the more I realize I would have liked its Superman more if I hadn't watched it with all the biases of being a long-time comic book fan. I love that Russell Crowe, Amy Adams and Michael Shannon were in it, and I think Henry Cavill was fine for what was needed. There were a lot of interesting visuals, especially for the Krypton scenes. My only big complaint was the overly long fight scene at the end, but at least they made Zod a formidable opponent. The soundtrack was also pretty good, though I don't usually hear anyone else praising it.

I'm not so sure about that. I mean, you are technically right. What I'm noticing though is some people want to control certain aspects of body cam use and, yes, the way it's reviewed because of what its recordings are revealing (or not). The argument used to be that police lie and body cams were to be the clear-cut way to prevent that. Now the goal posts are shifting to either the body cams can be manipulated and so shouldn't be trusted or the police will lie after they see the recordings. In other words, they don't trust police without body cams, they don't trust the body cams and they don't trust the police with body cams.
