I wonder what percentage of people who defend Lizzo and say fat is beautiful would date someone, a man or woman, Lizzo's size?

Most of those people also wouldn't have access to the stylists and designers Lizzo has either.

He saves them both. That's kind of the defining quality of Superman, though all the edgelords trying g to make him into a gritty dark hero seem to miss that point.

That's not the defining trait of Superman at all and it's been touched on numerous times in the comics that for all Supermans power it's impossible for him to save everyone. He is one man who can't possibly be everywhere at once. There's also the issue that comes up all the time of how much he should do.

The fact that he balances all this stress and responsibility that would break anyone else while still keeping an optimistic outlook is the point and if anyone doesn't understand the character it's you.

Superman definitely has it worse, he's just more well adjusted.

Superman has to be in a constant state of awareness, he's one of the strongest things in the DC universe and any misstep or lapse could cause major damage to the things he loves. But despite that, he still can never do enough. No matter how fast, strong, or powerful he can't save everybody and his super senses would make him aware of every one of those people he couldn't save. Every scream, every dying breath, he'd be aware of, at least at the back of his mind.

With great power comes great responsibility and there are few heroes as powerful as Superman, and certainly none who embody to people what Superman does.

i mean you're not wrong though. as a movie, scarface isn't really well-rounded and defined. it's almost more of an action movie in that sense, cool scene to cool scene with very little substance in between.

it's the flashy side of gangster movies. some things are just iconic. but as a movie, as a whole, it's really not that great. it never was.

I think part of the reason it's so iconic is because it's almost a denouncement of the type of 80's, flashy, stylish lifestyle because it's always got a certain grittiness to it as well which shows how fake that lifestyle is.

But it ultimately accomplishes it by just being a flashy, style over substance movie that you can turn your brain off and go "cool" then say a random quote from.

But either way, Godfather it's not.

I mean, Dale likely would have resisted a lot of the more mean spirited stuff because he was always shown at heart to be a decent guy. But he would have gone along with most of the conspiracy stuff for sure.

In a lot of ways, it seems like it'll be hard to do the show without either completely transforming most of the characters or making them incredibly unlikable.

The show has always been a satire of blue collar, conservative republican Texans but it only worked because they were ultimately likable, something that will be harder to do now while still keeping them the same basic characters.

I'm curious how they're going to handle Dale. I mean, his whole thing was being a conspiracy theorist which is less funny in an age where the kind of crazy shit he said/believed is a legitimate political platform for a huge portion of the American population.

The only thing I can see them doing it is by making him do a roundabout where he says the conspiracies that the other conspiracy theorists theorize are the real conspiracies.

But let's face it, Dale from the original series would have been buying horse paste by the gallon and speaking out against the 5g microchip vax.

As much as he likes to randomly start arguments with me I find myself agreeing with him more often than not, but I've still never seen him add anything of value to a discussion.

But on the other hand, we were also nothing for a looooong time before we were born so, it's kinda whatever.

The worst thing that can be said about this game is that it's not a big enough difference from botw, which is subjective. Personally I think they added a ton of new systems and things to do that make it more enjoyable.

But it does literally everything bigger and better than totk. If you liked botw I can't see a single reason not to like totk.

Is it the greatest sequel ever? Likely not, but that has more to do with the quality of botw than totk. Anyone expecting two games of BOTW quality and innovation in a row were expecting the moon. It's still easily a 10/10 game.

Nope. I haven't had it since like February, and that's part of why i've been struggling even more than usual. They lost their license at that clinic to administer it, I think, and only got it back within the last week or so...

In the near future? No, it's not looking we're going to get it fixed. We're having to be very careful to keep from having the electricity kick off by overloading the breakers, so that's even affecting even more than just our air conditioning... We might have to deal with this for a while until we can get something worked out.

Oh, I thought it was a supply issue. At least it's getting worked out.

Aside from the usual suffering, though, there's a new element to it right now: how hot my house is. We can't use the air conditioning because of electrical issues, and it's been 80+ degrees in the house.

Have you still not got the spravato from last time? Glad you're going to get it again, and that's good about the fma characters.
