There are improvements, but Larian also forgot to entertain through a good narrative. and Pathfinder: Kingmaker. Even though I have both this game and the sequel, I'm not going to shill one over the other. Both are wonderful in their own way, and you're going to want to camp in the first one enough so that you can appreciate how good it is before the second game adds a negative state to it. Eventually I want to try Pillars of Eternity as well. You'll likely want to play them both, but the first game only does real time with pause while the sequel has options for turn-based. That somewhat matters because Baldurs Gate 3 only does turn-based. Both Pathfinder games allow you to choose between either. |

Without strength modifiers or luck or blessings, the lowest strike is 1. The (+3) is then added to whatever the initial roll was. If it was a 1, the strike's total is then 4 instead. Knowing this much came from my own research with 'Pathfinder: Kingmaker' when I wanted to go as a full party of wizards using daggers. Default daggers in that game do 1d4 damage (so one 4 sided die) for comparison. |
