Jesse, the forgotten member of the gang. Xander and Willow never mentioning him against after the pilot is one of the show's rare misses. They were intending to have the First Evil take his form to Xander in that one episode where it was fucking with all of them, but it didn't work out. So now Xander and Willow's childhood friendship is a major aspect of the show and they just never mention that there was a third friend.

I don't think shapeshifting would have helped her at that point. Either she turns into someone Gravik doesn't know in which case he knows it's her or she turns into someone he does know in which case they're not supposed to be outside the compound and he knows it's her.

One thing I missed was that Fury probably knows that Rhodey is a Skrull. He made a point of saying that no one calls him Nick in this episode, Rhodey did so last episode. And then in this episode, he says he has a lead on a high-ranking member of the US military being a Skrull.

Yes, that is true, but we've consistently seen them bleed red in this show. My best justification is that this is partly why Gravik wants them to stay in their human shells even in the compound: the longer they stay shifted, the more convincing they are.

And I forgot Gi'ah was in the room when they did that Super Skrull thing last episode, but maybe she got blasted with the gene therapy or something. Gravik wouldn't know about it, the Extremis would heal her, and her being a Super Skrull means she can do the superheroic fighting in the finale without bringing in the Avengers.

I did forget one quibble I had about this episode. Why did the Bob Skrull give a shit about the son?

Yeah, I wonder if Skrull shapeshifting works enough that you can move your vital organs around. She knew it was coming, so she like...moved her heart over to the right or something.

It is a good twist if she is just dead, but I don't think there was enough gravitas for that.

You know, I've been watching a playthrough of it and it made me think about it.

The Return of the Obra Dinn isn't really a co-op game, but I've also seen two other playthroughs where two people worked together on it. The premise is that you're an insurance inspector assigned to figure out what happened to the crew of the Obra Dinn, a ship that disappeared a few years ago and just drifted back to port. Your job is to figure out the fates of all sixty people that were on board including their names, how they died, who (if anyone) killed them, and the location of anyone who's still alive. To help you in this, you have a magic pocketwatch that lets you see the exact moment of death for any corpse you find.

It's basically a giant logic puzzle. You look for clues in the snapshots of death that help you match each person with their fate. Using a crew manifest and an illustration of the entire crew, you match the faces to the names and fates and along the way, you learn the story of what happened to the ship.

I had to stop where the dude was pushing dirt onto the shovel wit his hands, it was too much.

Bioshock infinite isn't racist so much as the setting is embodying racism from that "time period"

The issue with Infinite is that it both sides the situation. Columbia is comically, oppressively racist. The game begins the public stoning of an interracial couple that's surrounded by a bunch of cartoon monkeys. They deify John Wilkes Booth and consider Lincoln to be an agent of Satan. They have actual slaves. Every single facet of Columbian society is rotten and should be eradicated.

So it's quite the turnaround when halfway through the game, the villain becomes the rebel group led by a woman of color that's trying to burn the city to the ground with the moral being that the rebels are no better than the people they're fighting against because they had the gall to use violence.

Mirai Nikki pissed me off. It's an excellent premise and there are such a great range of cell phone abilities. Even the dynamic where the main character's diary and his psycho girlfriend's diary compensate for each other's weaknesses is a good one.

And that premise is wasted on fucking garbage. The main character - who my friend and I called Yucky, I know that's not quite his name - is such a whiny bitch that he's just completely insufferable. The show also couldn't decide on what the hell tone it wanted to be. The one I always remember is where there's an arc where the villains are a dude who thinks he's a Power Ranger and a blind girl who wants to destroy the world because she was ritualistically gangraped as a child. Like what the fuck.

Which completely killed it for me. I understand why they changed it, but it lost all it's impact because of it.

Yeah, looking at the plot summary, they also removed the kid becoming a serial killer. So maybe it's not such a great adaptation.

Dolores Claiborne was also the one I thought of.

Apt Pupil is also decent, though it skips out the ending where the kid takes a rifle and starts gunning people down on a highway.

The We Were Here series consists of four co-op puzzle games, but I doubt it works with splitscreen. The idea is that the two players are split up into two different areas and have to cooperate to solve the puzzles. So one player will see an image on a wall that corresponds to a code the other player has to put in, that kind of thing. So the whole concept doesn't work for co-op.

Plate Up is probably a little more frantic than what you're looking for but I'll mention it. You're running a restaurant and have to cook and serve food. The gimmick is that it's a roguelike, each day you can buy new items to add to your restaurant. Every three days, you pick a new "card" that changes how your restaurant works; so you can add a new dish, make customers more impatient, that kind of thing.

The most frightened I've ever been was in Subnautica.

Big Smoke was part of the shit from the start, he convinced Ryder to join in.

For all the praise GTAIV gets for its story, I genuinely think SA's is far superior.
