Problem is, now, people think it's screaming on Twitter, destroying things that are usually wholly unrelated to what they're protesting, and being as large a public nuisance as possible.

Last one is okay, it's categorically a solid way to get noticed, but the first two usually come first which is an amazing way to cheapen your cause.

Because it does affect us. Do you think companies look at the loss of revenue and think "Whelp, its just the cost of business"? No, they want to recoup that loss for the owners/shareholders so end up raising prices on everything to get it back.

Getting people pissed at you isnt helping your cause.

Imagine that this was a second time whoopsie doodle. The answers were given in class so it's not that I needed extra time to do the assignment. Do you think I should still self-advocate or would that be too much considering this is the second offense? Assume that I want my status to remain as a fly on the wall. Also - the grade would drop from a 99% - 96%

You aren't forcing anyone to care having them miss work or appointments. Your message can easily be conveyed without literally harming the people who did nothing wrong. Causing people to even miss a half a day of work can cause some serious harm to people who already struggle to pay bills. Your protest isn't attacking innocent people isn't going to force people to focus on your protest over their personal struggles that can have a serious impact on their lives.

Also again, using examples like MLK are bad examples. Their protests targeted the very people who were causing them harm or at the very least people who championed the problem.

Once again, "dont harm innocent people" doesn't mean "people shouldn't protest" like you keep turning it to with examples that directly involve people protesting and inconveniences to the very people they are protesting.

The harm would be the bad impression you may possibly give the professor. If you were the guy on the other end and some nincompoop like myself asked if I could turn the assignment in because I simply forgot, what would you think? You'd probably think I'm an idiot right?

No but when I was a kid back in the 80's it was a super common thing for my grandparents to take epsom salt bath's. Many more people did. I think it has fallen out of fashion since but used to be very common.

And $40 boxes and bags of specialized vitamins...and various types of brushes...and different type of shampoos, and special stones for birds to grind their beaks on...and stealing calming dispensers for dogs and cats (to the point they are now being put under lock and key with the specialized vitamins). Yes, it is. Normal people don't turn against a good cause because they were momentarily inconvenienced one time. And, as has been pointed out repeatedly in this topic and every other topic about protest, historically it isn't until protests get disruptive that they begin to effect change.

Nah. This idea replaced the idea of purgatory. People were real mad that babies, who were technically atheist (bc they are too young to formulate any beliefs) were going to hell. So the church came up with purgatory. But that isn't a nice place for babies either.
