The two account gimmick kind of makes sense in the short term but never made any sense to me long term.

I've kept up my two accounts, but I keep myself from getting burned out because I only play as much as is necessary to complete my dailies on both accounts. The only times I play more than that is to complete events, and even then, I still take it fairly slowly, usually don't complete events until the last day or two, and only complete them up to the last gem reward and don't bother with the extra tickets afterwards.

Plus, it helps that I have completely different decks on both accounts, with only one deck (my event grinding Kozmo deck) being on both accounts, so that mixes up the way I play even within one play session.

I like tomboys and therefore I like Daisy the most, so I wholeheartedly disagree with TC's statement about her.

Sky Striker Ace Raye + her various transformations. Hayate is my favorite of the transformations, but they're all just different versions of the same character anyways, so in the end it doesn't really matter which version of her I like the most.

Unless the going 2nd player runs and can resolve Duster or Evenly Matched, yeah, that's usually how it goes.

Man, I forgot how fast the early chapters of this game go and how much more things open up after chapter 14. I made it through the whole prologue, then the first 3.5 (including chapter 13x between 13 and 14) chapters of the main story in about 5 hours, and then the next 3 chapters (including the preparations between them and deciding who I wanted to use) together took me like 2 hours.

It does help one character (Rath) though, since his non-Lyn mode base weapon level would likely be better than what he'd inherite from Lyn Mode.

I actually didn't know this. I'll have to keep it in mind if I ever plan on trying to use Rath in a future playthrough. It's a shame he rejoins so late in the main story and by then he's underleveled unless you really babied him during Lyn mode.

I think changing Ike so he uses the Urvan axe (his father's axe in the Tellius games and that he himself also uses in Heroes and Engage) instead of his usual Ragnell sword that he used before would be a better way to add axe representation into Smash's FE roster. Hector would fill the same "slow bulky melee fighter" role as Ike and I feel like he wouldn't have enough uniqueness to set himself apart and warrant his own character slot.

Or they could have just added Edelgard as DLC instead of Byleth, but that's another discussion entirely.

I've played so little this month (and a lot of what I did play was in the events and not in ranked) that even with the change that you no longer de-rank in Gold, I might still finish the season in Gold and not end up in Platinum 5 at the rate I'm going.

Labrynth can be played in a fun way (AKA without floodgates, only using removal traps) but when it works so well with floodgates too, some people will just naturally gravitate to that. I don't really know how the deck will play once its upcoming support hits though. I know it can generically search normal traps, but that's about all I know about the newer stuff that's not in MD yet.

Okada vs. Danielson felt like it under-delivered because it was cut short, and it was still an amazing match. I hope they run it back in Japan, maybe at Wrestle Kingdom. Omega vs. Ospreay was match of the year for sure though, and the whole show was great top to bottom.

I wonder what sort of challenge I should try. I've done [Mostly] Solo, which is usually my, "go to," when it comes to Fire Emblem games. I beat the two on the Switch with just the MC. But I don't want to do that this time. I want to use some of the more interesting characters, but I don't really know who they would be. 1 - I always press, "Start," and skip the stories, so I don't ever get the personality of people. And 2 - I don't know what kind of, "interesting," I want. A little girl that has really high STG? Terrible units? Use only females?

I would just do a normal playthrough the first time through and save any sort of challenge run for a second playthrough when you can play Lyn's prologue story in hard mode. That lets you skip all of the forced tutorial stuff and gives you a bit more freedom.

As for what kind of run to do... any sort of solo run in FE7 is really hard to do because you're forced to bring all 3 of the main lords (Lyn, Eliwood, and Hector) in some of the later chapters, and good luck trying to protect 3 (or 2 if your solo character is one of them) underleveled lords, all of whom give you a game over if they die, with one single OP unit in those later chapters. An all-female playthrough could be interesting, and it would be easier to protect the underleveled Eliwood/Hector in the late game with a bigger squad like that, but the first two chapters in the main Eliwood story would be awful when your only female character is an archer.

Maybe try a playthrough with only the 3 main lords and no one else? Lyn is fast but frail and gets access to bows upon promotion, Hector is bulky and powerful but a bit slow and weak to magic, and Eliwood is mostly balanced and gets a horse upon promotion. The prologue (especially the last boss of it) might be a pain in the ass with just Lyn, but the main story would probably be pretty interesting to deal with.

Agreed, it would have been nice to have a special mode with all of the stories and normal/hard modes open from the start for people who want it. Maybe even go the extra mile and throw in the items from the MKDD bonus disc that like 98% of players never got the chance to use.

Agreed again, it would have been nice to see FE6 finally localized so people wouldn't have to resort to "less than legal means" and fan translations. Maybe they're not doing it because they're planning to remaster FE6 and FE7 at some point in the future, and that would be how they finally bring it to the west.

If you've never played a FE game or have only played the more recent entries, definitely give it a shot. It's hard to find a physical copy these days, so this is the best legal way to play it now. Or if you're like me and you've already played it before, take this opportunity to enjoy playing it on a big screen and take nice screenshots.

If I had a nickel for every time I won a duel against a Swordsoul deck today because my opponent negated their own Baronne with their own Chixiao due to not reading that Kozmo Dark Destroyer can't be targeted by card effects, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

Birdie Wing and Too Cute Crisis both ended today. Birdie Wing unfortunately felt rushed in the last few episodes (and also didn't have a confirmed yuri end) so it wasn't as good as I hoped it would be, but it was still a great 9/10 show. Too Cute Crisis turned out better than I expected and was a solid 8/10, plus it was a nice and comfy palate cleanser to chill out with on Fridays after Birdie Wing's drama.

Fantina is the 5th gym in D/P meaning there's a better flow in those games. In Platinum it's pretty much a boss rush between Fantina, Marlene, and Crasher Wake.

I would personally argue that gyms 4-5-6 (Wake. Fantina, Byron) in D/P feel like a more tightly packed "boss rush" than gyms 3-4-5 (Fantina, Maylene, Wake) in Platinum. In D/P, you pretty much go straight from Fantina's gym to Canalave City and Byron's gym and there's pretty much nothing in-between, but in Platinum, the side trip to deal with the Galactic grunt in Celestic Town splits the 5th and 6th gyms apart a bit more.

Platinum was great. Also was the first gen to make physical/special split that actually made certain Pokmon useable for the first time, wireless trading and battling online for the first time, etc. it has issues in hindsight but it also rightfully has fans.

All of those features apply to the 4th gen games in general, and D/P were definitely good games in their own right. But Platinum fixed the majority of the flaws that D/P had while also adding a bunch of new content, to the point where there's nothing that D/P does better than Platinum.

Those are some god-awful choices. D/P and S/M are literally, factually, objectively inferior to their enhanced counterparts (Platinum and US/UM) and are only worth playing if you specifically want to use a Pokemon that is in those games but isn't available in the enhanced version for some reason.

R/B is more understandable due to nostalgia and being great for its time, but it's still a mess of glitches and spaghetti code that's barely held together. Unless you want to mess around with those glitches or (if you're playing the VC versions) you want hidden ability gen 1 Pokemon to send to Bank/Home, just play the GBA remakes because they're a much better experience overall.

He is. Alter Bridge is my favorite band, Disturbed is my second-favorite, and I'm still devastated that the one tour they did together never came anywhere near my area so I couldn't go see them. That duet they did together is still an amazing treat to come out of it though, so I'm happy about that.

Is this show good

Yes, very much so. The first "episode" was basically a feature-length movie setting up the story and was one of the best anime-related things that I've ever watched. The rest of the series after that, while it hasn't quite lived up to the hype of that first episode, has been very good. I would personally give the show a 9/10 based on what I've seen so far, but the last episode airs next week and they might announce another season for the future, so that could still change.

Plus, the anime is very popular and getting tons of views and discussion despite not even being on the most popular anime streaming service. HiDive somehow managed to license this one out from under Crunchyroll's nose, and it might be the most watched anime they've ever had on their service.

Splash Star is fine, people say it's one of the worst in the series but it's honestly just a lower budget more coastal version of the original Precure series.

Which is weird, both Splash Star and Healin' Good are considered two of the worst precures, but I've sat through them without having to come back months (or in Heartcatch's case literal years) later to finish them.
I guess they're more turn your brain off fun to watch, as opposed to the better seasons where I can actually legitimately enjoy the characters and their interactions with eachother.

I've heard mixed reviews about Splash Star as well, but I'll judge it for myself when I watch it. One of the other "polarizing with mixed reviews" Precure series, Happiness Charge, is in my top 5 favorites out of the 13 I've finished so far. Maybe Splash Star will exceed my expectations too.

I still can't believe these two duets actually exist and are so damn good.

My top 5 favorite songs from them would probably be (in no particular order) Indestructible, Haunted, Another Way To Die, The Light, and Who Taught You How To Hate. If we include covers and duets, then throw in Land Of Confusion, Don't Tell Me (featuring Ann Wilson from Heart), and Sound Of Silence (both their studio version and the live concert duet with Myles Kennedy from Alter Bridge).

I hate Down With The Sickness with a passion, and honestly, I just dislike Disturbed's first two albums in general. I didn't like them until Ten Thousand Fists.

I've got Black Clover M and Takt Op Symphony both coming out next week that I'm really excited to try out. Hopefully at least one of them is good enough for me to play long-term and take Honkai Star Rail's place on my phone.
