It turns out he was getting paid overtime for doing this because he self activated off the clock.

I wouldn't say insanely low, but I thought it was a good deal considering they are normally about .50 cents a piece around here.

That is probably what I will end up doing. Also trick or treating candy since we only get like 5 people per year. I got a few flavors I've never tried before so if I am not a fan in the trick or treating basket they go.

Not a big fan of good will. I like thrift stores in general, but goodwill is usually pricier and with worse options since that is where everybody goes.

I actually got a couple of nice shirts at palto's closet a few weeks ago for $2-$4 a piece. There are a few more local thrift stores that occasionally will have something good, but are not usually worth the stop and then there is one that is out of the way that I try to stop at when I have the time and I am in the area. I got a $150 wool coat for $5 because it needed a new button and there were spare buttons in the pocket. I usually manage to find some good deals there.

I'd vote for Kyle Kulinski before Cenk. I like Cenk ok. I agree with a decent enough percentage of his opinions that I would vote for him if he was running, but honestly he strikes me as kind of an asshole. Making fun of the animals are innocent guy repeatedly to the point where they even put him on the soundboard for a while. Making fun of aides for being the Easter bunny for kids, etc.

On the whole I agree with Kyle more often, I think he backs up his points with better data, and he comes off as a nicer guy.

I'm mostly shocked at how people still bother with it tbh. Between the corrupt megachurches and the small minority of "believers" who have actually studied and/or actively practice their religion tainting the entire experience, I don't understand why anyone would want to be a part of it.

I don't think I could choose. There are so many great shows out there for so many different reasons.

I've never understood the point of pancake mix. Making pancakes from scratch takes like 5 ingredients, all of them extremely common kitchen staples (with the possible exception of baking powder, but one small jar of baking powder takes up less space than the multiple boxes of pancake mix it can replace), and they taste significantly better.

Yeah. My mom always uses the mix, while I never bother with the stuff. Not sure what they do to the stuff to make it taste so bad, but it's cardboard compared to the fluffy sweet stuff an extra couple minutes gives you.

I could eat it in under an hour, but usually shred it up and have it for several meals throughout the week.

My dad still hasn't contacted a lawyer. And now the doctor thinks he might be able to do 8 hour shifts, but my dad is having a hard time with 6 hour ones. He just doesn't want to complain.

Driving a forklift is only difficult in tight quarters. How did both accidents happen?

I guess they use the hallways as a storage unit so everything is pretty narrow. Also when he got hit osha fined them for not having walkways. Not sure if they put any in yet.

It is a family owned company. I remember a few months ago it transfered to one of the children of the guy who used to run it and everyone was confused why it wasn't one of the other kids who actually had been in the plant occasionally.

Ya, I think he has finally been convinced to call the lawyer but he keeps pushing it off. Pretty sure he doesn't want to.

And the second guy seems to be being just as stupid. He wasn't hurt as bad, but he hit his head and didn't get it checked out. Just took 2 days off so his headache would go away.

Not even sure if osha was called on that one or if they are trying to sweep it under the rug.

My dad says no. He hasn't had a class since he started and his training to begin with was basically just showing how the levers worked.

Edit to add: the newest guy there knew how to drive a forklift but didn't want to until they gave him a class and certified him. They never did and eventually he just started driving it to make his job easier.

Iirc shit actually started out as a polite euphemism, such as using the powder room. Poop is just Latin for the sound of a fart. And only relatively recently became a word for defecation.

The op sounds more like they are complaining about ARFID than just picky eating.

I don't have ARFID, but I am a picky eater. I don't want to be, I just am. If certain foods or textures enter my mouth I just start gagging or throwing up. It is highly embarrassing to go to a new restaurant with friends and be like "Ok. The beef sounds delicious but what comes on it and can I get it without that?"

I have gone on ARFID websites to see if any of their suggestions work for me to limited success. I love trying new foods and new restaurants and discovering even more things I like and can eat.

It's also annoying that when I physically can't eat something I'm considered picky, but my dad isn't even though if a restaurant doesn't have a mushroom Swiss burger on the menu he doesn't want to eat there.

I stopped at fuzors, where the gimmick was zoids able to fuse together to create new zoids. I'm not really a fan of fusion as a gimmick. And the few episodes I saw didn't leave a good impression.

Genesis kind of flew under my radar. I knew it exisisted but it didn't sound interesting at the time.

I haven't seen wild or wild zero yet, but they sound interesting. They have been on my watch list, but not very high on priority, so they keep getting passed over.

Fievel Goes West was awesome. Better than the first one

I liked it a lot as a kid. It's a great kids movie. And while there are things about it I like as an adult. It does not hold up.

The first one was about family, immigration, corruption. Goes west is about getting a bunch of mice to sit on a mouse trap.

Atlantis was good, it had the potential to have a great television series. But seeing where they went with the idea, it's probably good that it didn't get a whole series.

Lion King is probably my favourite disney movie, but I could get behind Beauty and the Beast being technically the best.

The lighting, the acting, the pacing, the animation. It is a god damn masterpiece. Especially when considering what other studios were doing at the time.
