Yeah it's annoying.

Even when sexy women in video games was "a problem" It's still didn't account for a majority of video games.

Now it just seems like developers try to purposely either make female characters ugly, more masculine or really androgynous. Got to escape that horrible male gaze.

I got the collection bc nostalgia for 2 and 3 and I'm in the middle of 4 now and can't really bring myself to keep going. I hear 5 and 6 are better tho? My biggest gripe is ugly Internet where it's unclear how to traverse from one area to the next other than memorizing the map. This was an issue in 1 that was rectified in 2 and 3 so idk why they went backwards in terms of world design.

Skip 4, 5 is better but skip it too if you want 6 which might be the best in the series.

I mean it would be helpful if Canadians were allowed to defend themselves. They are not allowed pepper spray but they are allowed bear spray. BS are big cans that are difficult to carry around everywhere, where as PS can fit on your keychain. Also even if you have the BS with you and use it to defend yourself from a human its illegal to do so.

People also need to calm down on calling every little small piece of drama on Twitter or some article to be some major controversy surrounding a new game. Especially when it's often blown way out of proportion what was said.

People do need to recognize, stirring up a controversy no matter how trivial is good attention as well. Playing victim is great attention.

I'm obviously not expecting some dev team the size of Tunic's or some shit to pump out a Baldur's Gate III tier game, but AAA studios that make RPGs on the regular that have all the money in the world and make Larian look like ants in comparison have no excuse. But basically seems like dev's just want to be lazy and would rather think of new ways to squeeze money out of your wallets for cosmetics instead of making a good game.

"We all can't make games as good as Baldur's Gate 3".

It was the same discourse when Elden Ring came out and wiped the floor with almost every open world game in existence.
