Was that post from the TC?

I mean, it's more than likely the TC is also an adult, so it's just better if we don't assume we need to educate people on things, all around, because, more often than not, it won't be well received.

That said, looking at TC's account, they appear to be an alt, so this is probably all for nothing, and I admit to being tricked, so I'd like to apologize to you.

So they saw me saying "it's a possible symptom and not actually definitive" and felt to need to say "well ackshually it's just possible and not definitive."

Now with your additional backing to reiterate the exact point throned and I have been making the whole time.

Thank you for your agreement.

The point is that you're saying what you said to an adult, who likely does not need such information, and thus it comes off as demeaning, probably moreso than you intended.

I'm not trying to fault you, I'm just saying... Sometimes, when we intend to help, it comes off as demeaning, instead, and it's very important to read the room.

Most people on CE are adults, and so such things will come off as demeaning, moreso than anything.

EDIT: I'm not trying to attack you. I'm just trying to say where the disconnect comes from. We sometimes forget that... More than likely, we're like, 95% adults, here.

And to be clear, what I mean is... Yes, the user wasn't necessarily wrong in pointing out "This is indicative of X." However, you have to read the room. Most people on this forum are adults. Thus, "this is indicative of X" likely isn't news to them. They've likely already faced... Whatever they're going to face, given the subject, be it an evaluation, whatever. If you read the room and realize that you're mostly dealing with adults, then, whether you mean it to or not, a post like "This is indicative of X" comes off as much more demeaning than you maybe intended it to come off.

By the time you're an adult, such things, if they warrant a response, have likely already been responded to. Thus, when somebody online goes "Gee, this is a sign of X," it is, indeed, somebody playing "Armchair expert," since it implies they don't think you ever, possibly, acknowledged or looked into why you do such a thing. Sometimes, there literally is no answer. Sometimes, people just do things because they feel like it.

We need to stop immediately trying to categorize people based on something they post on the internet.

I don't separate food on a plate or eat them in any order or anything.

However, if I'm at home, where I can eat pizza at whatever a pace I want, I take the toppings off of the pizza, eat the dough/sauce, then eat the toppings after. If I'm in public and/or in a hurry, I eat it normally, but if I can, I just like to separate the flavors, personally.

That's my food quirk.

So just imagine multiple people just peeing in a shower because "It goes to the same place anyway!"

Water-based liquids in my reality rinse off very easily. They don't stick to me.

It appears that, possibly, in your reality... they stick? That's why I asked.

Because your post doesn't make any sense unless pee is sticky and needs a scrubbing for it to get off your feet.

When you pee in the liquid that is supposed to be cleaning you off, all you're doing is causing yourself to, well, "marinate" in the pee. So unless you wash your feet with soap AFTER, you're just leaving that... "marination" on. If you don't actually wash your foot off, with actual soap, after, then you, in practice, just... Peed on your foot.

Spoilers: Water, alone, does not clean you off. Do you wash your hands without soap? If no, then why would you assume that peeing in the water around your feet somehow leaves your feet clean?

EDIT: Just pee before and/or after you shower. It literally should not be so hard. Why are people so lazy that they literally have to pee IN the shower? Why are people literally arguing as if they MUST pee in the shower? Is that how lazy people have become?

Shower water tends to pool for a short bit before it goes down the drain, so all you're doing is peeing on your feet. Which means if you don't actually wash your feet after you've done so, you have pee feet.

Interesting to see so many users happily admit to having pee feet.

According to Rolling Stones report, multiple sources alleged Fallon had a history of outbursts and lashing out at staff when under pressure.

They did also say

that previous senior staff on the show had bullied and belittled them

but that's an accusation against other people, not Fallon himself.

So it sounds like the actual allegations against Fallon were, precisely, that he had outbursts when under pressure, just like I said.

Its not shitty.

When you sign up for these kinda competitions, Youtuber ran or otherwise, you consent to being portrayed however.

Dating shows change the chronological order of events happening.

Challenge based shows like Survivor or The Amazing Race will change who lasts longer in a challenge or make a leg of the race seem closer than it was.

Its called entertainment and unless youre new, its how it works.

Also, this. She likely signed something agreeing to this in the first place, so to complain later seems like an attempt to get more clicks/views for her own channel, which is why she even did the competition in the first place: To get herself more clicks.

That's why I don't care.

It's an influencer who edits their videos, complaining about an influencer who edits their videos.

Placement doesn't matter for prizes/etc. There's only one winner. Thus, it's not like he kept money from somebody who earned it or anything. That's what I meant.

You could argue the order "matters" in that some people will watch the video for longer if their favorites make it further, but that's a nothingburger to me when they're all influencers chasing clout to begin with. And yes, that's precisely why he did it, to get people to watch the video for longer. I just don't see that as a crime at all because literally everybody edits their videos for maximum views, including the woman who is complaining.

Oh, I absolutely believe he edited the footage and changed who was in the top three.

My stance is just... Who cares? In those videos, only the winner matters. It's a "If you ain't first, you're last" kind of thing, so the rest of the placement doesn't matter. So, yeah, I absolutely believe he probably edited the order to be more exciting and get more views, but that's a reality TV/video/whatever staple, and I can't imagine caring about it for even a second.

It'd be a scandal if he was like, stealing from people, or lying about giving money, or whatever. But "Oh I finished above Logan Paul but he edited it to make it look like Logan Paul outlasted me and now I'm mad because I think I got less clout from it?" Nah, can't even begin to care.

The Walt Disney versions of these stories are meant to be wholesome, with positive intent.

While this is true, they are absolutely a product of their time, and said intent that may have once been seen as "wholesome" may not actually have been so wholesome. Was their intent in how they portrayed certain people, like natives, or the jive talking crows, seen as problematic back then? No. But over time, it became accepted... Yes, that view WAS a bad view to have. And we can accept... Okay, they obviously didn't think it was bad at the time, and we're looking back with a lens, but that doesn't mean you can't talk about it.

Basically, certain things that were seen as "wholesome" back then were "wholesome" based on what was normalized at the time, which doesn't mean it's literally, inarguably wholesome. So there's clearly room for discussion, there, and trying to just shut it down seems much worse than the actual discussion, itself.

According to him, the story did happen/is based in truth, just not the exact way he told it in his standup. He claims he was, indeed, turned down because of his race, and he provided proof to the reporter, and they ignored it. If that's true, and he atleast tried to hide the woman's identity (blurred face), then I don't feel like he did anything wrong, even if she ended up doxxed, anyway.

Malone alleges that Minhajs story about being dumped by his prom date because her parents did not want her pictured with a brown boy was not only untrue, but led to his former date being doxxed. Minhaj presents evidence to the contrary.
He wasturned down by his date, whom he gives the pseudonym Bethany Reed, but admits that it wasnt as he arrived to pick her up for the dance, as the story goes. Bethanys mom really did say thatit was just a few days before prom, Minhaj said in his statement. I created the doorstep scene to drop the audience into the feeling of that moment, which I told the reporter. He then plays a clip of himself regaling Malone with the same tale.
My team and I repeatedly tried to give them the emails. We confirmed the emails were sent to the reporter and their fact checker before the article came out, Minhaj said. They knew my rejection was due to race. I confirmed it on the record and provided corroborating evidence. And yet they misled readers by excluding all of that and splicing two different quotes together to leave you thinking that I made up a racist incident.
Bethany also never had her identity revealed as a result of Minhajs act. He presents screenshots of friendly emails and texts between himself and Bethany. In one, Minhaj instructs her to delete an old tweet which could potentially expose her identity.
Theres also a passage in Malones article which details an encounter Bethany and her husband had with Minhaj at one of his shows. Without using any direct quotes from Bethany, The New Yorker reports that she felt Minhaj invited her to the show to humiliate her. (In what way is not made clear.) Minhaj reveals that he didnt invite the couple to the showBethany emailed him a heads-up after already getting ticketsand reported no one left feeling humiliated.

So he didn't use a picture of somebody he didn't date. He did date her, and apparently was turned down over her family's reaction to race. He just dramatized the events for his show.

Well, atleast that was rightfully a suspension, and not just a warning.
