yes, that seems like me, but not quite. i spend way too much of my money on collectible gaming and sports cards, but not yu-gi-oh! anymore. i collected that one, too, early on, but after a couple years, upper deck released a set where all the cards were reprints of older cards. one group of those cards were four of the five Exodia cards, which had up until that point been so rare as to only show up once in every several boxes of cards, and thus were very expensive. but as commons, the new versions would show up several times in every box. this would have a deleterious effect on the value of the originals, and convinced me that keeping cards over long periods of time would almost certainly result in extreme loss of equity. i immediately sold the entire collection, and have not returned in the time since.

the thing that is off-putting about foot fetishists to me is that they are so vocal about just blasting it so right to otherwise innocuous photos of women who post pictures of themselves online that women are now just straight up censoring their feet in images. it's so gross to be that forthcoming and shameless about your fetish that people have to preempt you using their pictures for your urges. in my humble onion.

ah, i was mistaken. appreciate you kindly correcting me. it still doesn't seem like much single housing is being built, though. i agree that increasing supply is the way to go.

Outlaw using homes as hotel properties, unless they fully intend on passing all the local, state and federal regulations hotels have to follow. That will force all these assholes who bought homes just to use them as AirBnBs to put them back on the market.
it's honestly not even necessary at this point, as the industry is collapsing. it will be interesting to see how prices move when people who are paying 3, 4, even 5 mortgages default because their rental properties are no longer generating income like they used to.

Built more houses, stop zoning then out.
one of the biggest things imo. my city (the metro ~5-10mins away from me) is no longer zoning single family housing for two decades at least. while it's an understandable attempt to lower rent prices by making more abundant multi-family housing through apartments, condos and duplexes/triplexes, it only further commodifies single family housing.

nobody dreams of living in an apartment forever, and if they want a house near the city they are going to pay through the nose, because there will never be more inventory and competition is fierce. despite the housing downturn, my home value continues to steadily increase, and I am fairly certain this is one of the reasons.

I really hope that it's good. I love what Larian Studios does. They're the best CRPG devs currently producing the games, but their story driven content has been lacking. Hope their writers for BG3 are up to the task.
a good reason to be excited about their partnership with WOTC. D&D has a ton of great writers and modules, old and new. If BG3 does well, we might see some of those brought to life.

(Don't feel bad if you end up wanting to use some one the QoL options they added that end up disabling achievements, some of them are worth using if you struggle with games like this)

One piece of advice: environmental effects are extremely strong in this game, especially early on. For better or worse. Pay attention to what you and your enemies are standing in, it can be a boon or a curse depending on who takes advantage of the environment.

WotC as a funder + 400+ employees working on it means that this is more of a AAA game than anything EA has ever put out. In fact, it is dubious to believe that there are many games more AAA than this.
You could say the same of Dark Alliance, and that turned out to be complete garbage.. Having Wizards/Hasbro money doesn't mean you'll be able to make a good game.

Look at Marvel Avengers. Square+Disney and the biggest IP of the last 20 years, absolute trash that gets canned a year and a half after release.

Resources are not what held those games back.

I'm afraid it's all about marketing and hype.

Believe me, I will be playing Baldur's Gate 3 on the day it releases, but it somewhat saddens me that other games (Like Pathfinder WotR, or Pillars of Eternity) only get a fraction of that popularity.

And they have nice voice overs too. They just lack the big cutscenes and dialog visuals we know from the AAA games like Mass Effect. That's it.
Pathfinder WOTR and POE 1+2 are all titles that live up to the standards you should expect out of RPGs. I thought they were decently popular. They certainly keep getting released in every platform imaginable.

Lmao. Triple A studios have all of this at their disposal. Resources, staff, and pre-built engines/assets. That they hope it doesn't create a standard is telling. If a well written plot, non-mtx, tons of customization, great graphics and in-depth mechanics is something the gaming industry doesn't want to be measured against I would tell them to kick rocks or find another industry to work in.

it depends on which subclasses they allow in. I'm tempted to go 2h or ranged battlemaster fighter, or eldritch knight fighter, but it sounds like humans no longer get a feat at 1st level so I'm not certain. having sharpshooter or great weapon fighting at level one is so nice, i'm going to be sad if I have to wait until level 4 for my build to come online.

I am more excited for this than any other similar games as I am super familiar with 5e and play it often, so I can finally take advantage of a system from jump without having to learn it first.

here is an idea we can convert those office buildings into housing for ppl

or even into farms

we can make those buildings actually useful to society
They're trying to do this in my downtown and running into issues with it being too prohibitively expensive to make units with individual plumbing. The solution they have come to in one building is shared, "dorm" style bathrooms for each floor, but it remains to be seen whether or not people are going to want to share a bathroom with 60 other people.

I think the other major hurdle is each unit needs openable windows, which is not an easy thing to retrofit apparently.
