Man biters or excited biters? That may be true for some, but back in the day most of the man biters were culled (for safety reasons). There are some gamebred dogs like Chinaman who was rumored to have been a man biter, but from my experience most game bred Pit Bulls are very chill with people, just hot against other dogs. You won't get 100 percent one way or another with any pedigree line since all dogs are individuals though.

From experience owning game dogs for over 25 years I will say that real gamebred pitbulls can be very dangerous if you don't know what your doing. In my opinion most people should not own them. Most people don't even know what a real pitbull is nor have they probably even seen one in real life.
When I say dangerous I'm not talking about the experienced owner being in danger but other people's dogs, cats, people etc... You probably shouldn't be taking a pitbull to a public park because guess whats going to happen when mr/mrs dipshit with the he's friendly! Dog runs up off leash and gets in that pits face. It means a big vet bill and a possible serious liability for you. Its a difficult situation to be in and you better know how to stop a dog fight between two dogs by your self while fat ass is 100 yards away screaming their head off. Its no joke. That being said, every relationship between each dog, cat, etc.. can be unique and different.
It's not usually as black and white as most people claim.
This was a breed made to do very specific things by the hard work of a lot of men and women over many many years. It's the same for almost all dog breeds as well. I feel that in the last few decades way too many people are just having fun with play-dough that is the dogs unique amphibians like gene moreso than any other animal on earth. Some of the stuff is so minor that I cannot imagine it would be difficult to add, but I don't get the people who are so vocally obsessed about it.
